I replaced the screen on my 62 inch projection TV for about $50 and the the picture quality is good! Have a sheet of plexiglass cut to the EXACT size needed. BEFORE installation it MUST be frosted on both sides by either a fine particle sandblaster or by sanding it VERTICALLY on BOTH sides with a power sander and a fine grade paper.
If this is only an OUTER protective screen and the image is projected on the inner screen then DO NOT frost the replacement screen, just install it.

Is there a flat plastic protective outer screen? If so then replacing that piece is less expensive then the lenticular lens(vertical lines on it), which would be at least double(depends if it comes with the fresnel lens or not). There's no good way to repair the scratch either way other than replacing the scratched piece. A light surface only scratch might be buffed out with little distortion to the picture. What you could do is get a special protective screen instead of replacing the outer screen(in case thats the only piece thats damaged), it might be a little more expensive, but worth it if you have kids, pets, or good parties planned. All options should be ~150$ and upwards. Good luck

SOURCE: small scratches on tv screen, can I fix it?

The only way to completely get rid of the scratches is to replace the screen. If you want to get a new replacement protective screen for this model, here is a link from a major parts distributor:

I have a Vizio LCD HDTV 1080 120hz 37", ModelSV370XT. (Bought 1/10/10 at Costco) The tv fell to the ground resulting in scratches appearing in the picture screen. You can't feel scratched on the TV surface...

The statement was not complete in the forum , hence I presume the LCD was damaged while it fell to the ground.
The cost of replacing a new LCD to a new set must be reviewed unless you are able to get one swapped from an old one.

Scratches on tv screen.

I have used clear plastic sheets and silicon tire dressing for smaller problems like this, but no idea how well it would work with a large screen TV. The westleys silicon tire shine smooths out the scratches, and you place the clear plastic sheet on top of that and work out any bubbles then tape the ends. It pretty much changes a standard screen into a glossy screen with the added benefit that you can always replace the sheet if it is damaged.
I usually get my clear plastic sheets packaged with the new LCD screens I purchase for repairs and I just keep them in storage.

Scratched 32" screen

Honestly brother, there is not anything you can do about this. You have one of two options, #1 buy a new tv, or #2 deal with the scratches. If you call sharp, they will send you right out the door because their warranties do not cover physical damages in any way, shape, form, or fashion. Avoid yourself the embararssment and take one of those options. Take it from a person who knows. good luck 2 u
