SAMSUNG MONITOR PURCHASED ON 23/09/2010. IS THIS MONITOR IS UNDER WARRANTY NOW

Hi gowell ,

Usually monitors come with a minimum of 3 years or maximum of 5 years warranty , so as per the date that you have mentioned, I feel it should definitely be under warranty.

Check the warranty card which you would have received along with the purchase of the monitor , I believe you should have the warranty period clearly mentioned in it.

Hope this helps ...:)

Vertical line on my moniter. i have complaint to the customer service but didnot got any responce.please help

unfortunately, this is a defect that is very prevalent in LCD monitors. Sometimes applying pressure to certain areas of the screen will cause the symptom to disappear. Attempting to repair this is not recommended and should be done only be someone who is highly skilled at monitor / television repair. If the monitor is still under warranty I would recommend getting it replaced. Otherwise you may be better off just purchasing a new monitor as the cost to fix this problem may very well exceed the original cost of the monitor.

White screen only

Hello,

The white screen indicates wither a blown power supply or a blown fuse on the LCD panel. If the monitor is in warranty contact your place of purchase. If it is not in warranty then we should be able to repair it for you. Our repair charge is $30 plus return shipping. Contact us at the email address below if you need any more information.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Emachines monitor e15tr model 568 wont come on

Try to connect the monitor to the VGA-output port of some other desktop or notebook computer. If it does not work, then it needs repair or replacement. If the monitor still under warranty:
* standard 1-year warranty from Gateway
* extended warranty that you may have purchased from Gateway
* extended warranty that some credit-cards offer for items purchased with that card
* extended warranty that you may have purchased from the retailer

???

If not, it's probably cheaper to replace a 15" or 17" or 19" monitor
that it would be to try to repair it.

IC Power 19'' LCD-Will not Power Up- No Lites.

This is a follow up to my last submission about my discovery of bad caps on the FPD1960 LCD flat screen Gateway 19" computer monitor. To recap: After two and a half years of excellent graphics quality, my monitor suddenly went blackout. After pushing the power-on button, the screen would come on for 1-second, then go black. Repeat, again and again, same result; comes on for 1 second then blackout. THE REPAIR: After carefully but forcefully prying open the case, I unscrewed and unplugged then removed the screen and set it aside, then unscrewed and removed the power supply board. Sure as shootin, bulging (and slightly leaking) capacitors were immdiately apparant on this board. That other fella's submission was right on target. Search Wikipedia for "bulging capacitors" to get the inside scoop on this widespread problem. Major manufacturers are well aware of this issue, but fortunately for them it occurs some 2-years out'a the box, and after the warranty expires. This is one time I wish I'd bought the extended warranty! Anyway, I finally got my 5 caps from Ebay in the mail today. Specifically, they are 470uF 25volt 105-degree (use only 105's because some are right near a power transister heat sink---so I'll bet they get mighty friggin hot. After carefully replacing the old caps with the new (you'll need a solder ****** along with your solder iron), I reassembled, powered-up, and began to thoroughly enjoy the fruits of my labor. It's working like new once again. THE CAPS ON THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD ARE DEFECTIVE.

Dell 17inch LCD Display - Blank

Hi, My name is Todd and I'm a customer advocate at Dell's corporate headquarters. My team helps customers via blogs, forums, and other tech sites online. You said the monitor is 2 years old. Do you have the original order number still? Depending on how you purchased the monitor it may have up to a 3 year manufacturer warranty and I may be able to replace it if it is within that warranty period. Please email me at Customer_Advocate@Dell.com if you can locate the order number and I'll be glad to see if its still under the manufacturer warranty. Include my first name (Todd) in the subject line of the email so it can quickly be routed through to me, and include the order or customer number if you have it. Thank you, Todd Customer Advocate Dell, Inc. http://direct2dell.com/one2one/archive/2006/11/19/3648.aspx
