There is a screen in the inlet valve. it could be clogged. remove the hose from the inlet valve of the washing machine and look for a screen inside the inlet valve.

tnx 4 using fixya.

if the scales are inside the water inlet valve, then i would suggest to replace the valve. the scales are very hard to remove specially on a crooked water valve.

on the other thought, if you are not using your hot water valve and it is not clogged, you can switch over the wires of the solenoids so that the how water valve will be use by the cold water coil.

let me know what happen so i could help you further.

Why is my washer saying low water pressure. How can I fix that without have someone come out to repair it

It depends on the cause of the water pressure issue. I'd first check your incoming water to the washer. Turn off the inlet shut-off valves and disconnect the hoses. Check the hose filters and the inlet valve filters. Remove any debris. Next put a large bucket under the shut-off valves and open them fully for a minute. Check how much water flows into the bucket. If very little water was in your bucket, you'll need to check where the restriction is in your water lines. (The water pressure needs to be sufficient to fill the washer in about 8 minutes. Depending on your home, you may need a professional to check the water at your water connection to the city or at your well pump.) Empty the bucket. Replace your inlet hoses at the valve side and repeat the test. If you are getting low water flow with the hoses in place, replace the hoses. Some hoses have a "anti-flood" feature which restricts the hose if there is a problem. (I've seen the hot water flow rate to the washer significantly decrease due to the hose blocking the flow. The cold water hose was replaced at the same time to avoid it failing in a short time.)

Next check that the drain hose isn't below the level of the water in the washer. This can cause siphoning and empties the washer as fast as it fills.

If the water pressure is still low after testing these items, the problem could be the inlet valves on the washer or the air pressure at sensor that detects the water flow. On some washers, you may be able to remove the debris in the air tube. However, if there is a pinhole, that part will need to be replaced.

I hope this helps.

My washer stopped and shows LF. What do I do?

For Maytag top-loading washers, the LF code indicates that there is a problem with the incoming water to the washer. First check if the valves are fully open at the inlets (hot and cold). Make sure that the hoses aren't kinked.

Next turn off the incoming water valves and take off the hoses from the back of the washer. Clean the filters that are on the washer inlets. Reconnect the hoses and check for leaks. (Some hoses will seal themselves if they detect a leak; you may want to use new hoses when you reattach the hoses.)

Make sure that the incoming water pressure is above the minimum 10 psi. (I live in a rural area. When the water company has a problem with the pump, broken pipe or power outage, low water pressure can be a problem. We wait until the problem is fixed before using the washer.)

Next check if the drain hose has been put too deep into the stand pipe. If the outlet of the hose is below the water level in the washer, the water will be siphoned directly into the drain. The flow will trigger the LF error.

If none of the above solve the problem, then either the valves or the incoming water pressure sensor on the washer has a problem. You will need to replace the appropriate parts.

I hope this helps.

My washer will fill with water during the wash cycle just fine, but during the rinse cycle the water just trickles in. The water lines seem to be fine. What else could be causing my problem?

usually the wash is a mix of hot and cold and the rinse is just cold, that said, it is most likely a problem with the cold water supply. check to make sure the cold water valve is all the way open and the hose isn't kinked. If those are ok turn the water supply off and remove the supply lines on the machine side, you will see a screen inside the washer that may be clogged with sediment. If so, just clean it out and put it back together. You may also want to run a wash cycle on cold only to see if it fills slowly for the wash cycle. If it does fill slowly on cold you have low pressure on the cold side.

Very little cold water flowing into washing machine - have already replaced water valve. plenty of hot water.

turn your water off and unscrew cold water hose from washer put it inside the drum and turn on the cold water if it runs at full force the problem is in the new valve if not it is in the water shut off. Also check your water valve screen where the hose screws on and make sure it did not get plugged by scale in the water hose.

The hot water side has low water pressure. The

start by making sure the valve that supplies hot water to the sink and dish washer is fully open. If there is low hot water pressure in any of the other kitchen/bathrooms, then trace the line to see where the pressure drops. If it is only in the kitchen, it should be an old valve, (causes restriction)Good Luck.

I think the cold-water solenoid went bad on my washer - plenty of hot water flow, but cold only trickles into the washer. The rest of the house is fine for water pressure.

yes the most likely problem is your water valve hasgone bad.but check the hose connection and see if there is any sediment built up in there. if not replace the water valve

The water does not flow to the softener reservoir of my maytag neptune tl.

most likely problem is to low of cold water pressure. if you set it to cold/cold, and the water coming in doesn't have much pressure, the screen on the cold water valve could be plugged. turn the water off to the washer, remove the water hoses from the washer inlet valve in the back of the washer. look in the inlet valve, there is a screen. if it has sand and debris, clean the screen, hook hoses back up, and check the pressure on cold again. if it has more pressure, this should allow water into the softener reservoir. Also- make sure you take the softener reservoir out, and clean both pieces. make sure the syphon holes are clear. hope this helps. shane

Low cold water flow

Hi...
Did you check at the point where hose is connected to the faucet? Have you actually taken the hose where you connected it to the new valve and first ran it unconnected into a sink or a bucket to make sure you have a good, strong flow of cold water? A new valve isn't going to solve the problem if the supplied water pressure is low. Around here I have seen water softeners fail and allow a sludge of crystals and "goo" to clog the screens in the feed hoses on the supply side.

Fist and foremost, make sure that you have a good supply of cold water coming out of that hose. Don't make the mistake a lot of my customers make- They think if they turn on the faucet to the sink next to the washer and there's strong flow, this means everything is ok. The faucet has no screens in it. The hose to the washer does. There are screens of course at the water valve on the washer, but there are also screens in the hoses at the faucet where the washer hoses attach. Check there.

Hope this helps....
