Can you use your SYSTEM RESTORE function? You can find it:
Start> all programs> accessories> system tools>system restore.

If this doesn't fix it, I always fall back on Realtek Audio sound drivers. I've never found anything that Realtek wouldn't get the sound working on yet. You can google it and download it for free.

Short of that, it sounds like you will need to restore your sound drivers to make your sound work.

No sound

Hello Chaeyon, hi when you TV has no sound, check first some user controls, like if the volume is low? is the mute enable? If this things did not work, I want you to place your ear close to the speakers, then adjust the volume up and down several times. You should hear a soft hiss that goes up and down also, If this is missing, you have power amplifier problems, this would or may go for an IC amplifier replacement or a loose loudspeaker, and may go to the main sound circuit section for checking. This should be done by a technician. Is your TV on warranty check this out first.

The volume on my computer is not working

Try installing the audio driver again, if you do not have this driver on a CD, then you need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Connecting my microphone to the computer

Go to your computer start menu. Then to control panel, then system sound /audio devices. Locate the master audio control. There should be a slider for Mic. Adjust this volume until you hear your voice. Depending on your computer built in soundcard the volume/quality will vary. You might consider a external soundcard.
