Hi there,
Just bought an Acer Computer and since installing some of my software I have this error message which pops up.
ACER(W~1.SCR has stpped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Close Program
Do you have any ideas to what this might be and how to stop it from popping up.

- icons keep disappearing and the only way to turn my machine on is the ctrl alt delete keys. they show up for awhie and then disappear. and now a note shows on the system saying acer w--1.scr has stopped working. what does that mean. a new screensaver was put on. but important is the icons on the screen. i try to keep them on but in a matter of time they disappear but the screensaver stays on.- GuestSolution #1

Turn off the, or better yet uninstall, the Acer Screensaver. Something you installed, possibly a screensaver program? has corrupted the Acer screensaver causing that error message. That add-on screensaver is notoriously buggy anyway.
