Question about PC Laptops
When I try to boot from cd (WIN XP sp2 boot cd) on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo m6300 notebook it displays a message: "CD rom type: non emutation booting" and does nothing. How do I make my notebook to boot from cd? I need to do a fresh install of WIN XP on my notebook.
The message is indicating that the CD in the drive is NON-bootable. You may want to try a different bootable CD.
You can also ensure the CD is completely clean and has no scratches on it. Windex and a soft cloth has always done me well to ensure the "Shiny" data side of the CD is free from dirty/smudges/scratches and of course make sure it is in the drive correctly.
If still no luck, you can try resetting the BIOS defaults and see if the drive will boot then.
