Hp C5280 Paper Jam error - no paper + component fell apart
I have two problems with my HP Photosmart C5280. I tried to print something, but I had a paper jam. I cleared the jam, but the problem persists. I looked for small pieces of paper, but there was nothing. While searching, I found a plastic component and a screw in the left part of the printer. I have some photos here:
Can you help me please? My printer won't do anything because of the "paper jam".

after closing the cover and removing the jammed papaer does it still says "paper or carriage jam"????
if it still prompts you that theres a jam and you've already removed it, try to turn off the printer, disconnect from its connections (pc and ivr or ups or wherever its connected) wait for like 5-10 sec then connect it again...
hope this resolves ur prob...
ive experience it to with my hp j3500 all in one... a paper jam, this is what i did and i think it worked for me... hope it do to your printer.. ciao!
Thanks for using FixYa. Perform the steps below in order to solve this incidence:
Disconnect the power cord or power supply adaptor from the rear of the HP All-in-One product.
Remove the paper pack remaining in the input tray.
WARNING - Do not try to remove the jammed paper sheet yet. Trying to clear a paper jam from the front of the device can damage the print mechanism. Always clear paper jams through the rear access door.
Open the rear access door or the two-sided printing accessory.
Gently pull the jammed paper sheet out of the rollers.
If the paper tore when it was being removed from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the device. If not all the pieces of paper are removed from the device, paper jams are likely to occur again later.
Replace the rear access door or the two-sided printing accessory.
Sounds like a small piece of the jammed paper is stuck inside on a paper path switch OR in pulling out the jam you've dislocated a switch actuator so it is not working correctly. Careful checking of the paper path components should find it. Probably a slot in one of the guides is hiding it.
Lift the printer cover. undo the 2 screws (torx head). remove the right hand end of the printer casing.
You will see a blavck plastic moulding with a couple of gears (it controls the cartridge cleaning). This is the cause of your jam - it is out of sync. Turn the machine on and watch what happens with this moulding you will see what I mean by out of sync and it can just be gently pushed back into alignment. Once it is ok turn the unit off and then on again and your jam should be cleared. Put it back together again and print away.
Just check the rollers for debris or any tiny piece of paper. Sometimes using refilled cartridges also can cause this error. Should that not work, you could try a hard reset: unplug printer from pc and mains. wait about 10-15 minutes and while holding down the power button, connect to mains and tho pc. Hopefully that should work.
