I had to drive through water that was upto the middle of the rim. drove fine for almost 300 miles afterward then all of a sudden it will start and no power on the road. it sounds like chocked when pushing on the gas it realy strugle to go and power dies specialy on up grade on the road. I was told it is the front convertor, so I changed it and the problem was not solved. now it overheats and even the engine's oil is running low after it was changed 1000 miles ago. whaat is the problem at hand?

You would have first check on your car sparks plugs and the leads wire that could have made your car not to have power, know that when the leads wire get wet then its looses sparks needed by plugs to give out power to the engine. loosing oil comes from the overheating from the engine which can end up burn the cylinder head gasket. so try to change the spark plugs together with its leads and put new engine oil and drive test it.

I think you have a leaking headgasket or a coolant leak. Have the cooling system pressure tested first, if no external leaks show up then you have a possible leaking headgasket.

maybe a clogged filter.. why 2 months? it has old gas in it..gas does evaporate to a degree..looses some of its power creating capability.. the mtbe additive is an extreme evaporative.. it will evaporate out very quickly.. remember all fuel tanks have a vent tube on them..

Sounds like an electrical issue. You'll want to take it in.

Dies after running about 2 minutes

It's got all the symptoms of a leak in the fuel line. You may want to start backward at the tank and work your way all the way to the carb to find it but it would be surprising if it was something else. All the best.
