Re: powers on but pixels are like distorted
This might be wild but...
why dont you get your no good neighbor to turn the plasma in for you?
He IS the original owner, and the screen crapped on you a month after purchase, seems like the right thing to do is to ask him to help you out with it.

some computers will fade the screen automatically when on battery power. on windows systems, you can change those settings (normally) by going to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings (beside the option in use) -> change advanced power settings -> Display (see screen shot)
When you press the power button do you hear the fan running, hear the disk drive running, see any lights, do you hear the cd drive click once and see the light come on briefly on the cd drive door? If you see all the aforementioned then it is surely trying to boot. Computers don't boot mainly because of the following problems. 1) Bad Power Cord or Power Supply. 2) Electro Static Buildup. 3) Bad Motherboard 4) Bad boot or system files. Remove the Power Cord and the battery if it's a laptop. Press and Hold the Power Button for 30 Seconds. Then replace only the Power Cord and try hitting the Power Button. If it boots you had an Electro Static Buildup. If you have boot or system files that are missing or corrupt normally the system will be telling you that on an error message that appears on the screen. Does your system show you anything on the screen when you press the Power Button? If not you have a Power Supply or Motherboard issue.
U have sound but no picture?Picture does flashes a few sec?Yes,than those 2 long LCD inverter boards are dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.
This tv 100% have power supply board problems and might also have the T-CON decoders board problems too.The power supply board, that the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.The T-CON decoders board, that the board sit wright in the middle bottom of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.Replaced the power supply board, should get ur tv power up right away and work,no more series of clickings noises. But,if the tv still have alots colored pixels lines on the screen. The T-CON decoders board it also dead.Replaced the T-CON decoders board too.
It seams to be a problem in video and video out put stage some TV set design there is no video signal the sound out put also not working this TV high voltage ( horizontal out ) is working fine that why flash squre visible when the sw off. may be dry joints in the video section or some auxilary power supply cricuit feeding power to video section having a problem
Th clicking is from the power relay. You will have to open it up, the first place to look will be the power supply module, look to see if it has any bad caps with leaking/bulging tops first, caps can look OK but can be bad due to high ESR.
Ur tv turn on now, hear alot of clicking? The tv LED light "lamp" on front panel flashes or light up?The tv projection lamp is dead. The Ballast board dead too,if hear alot of clicking? The ballast board help to ignite the projection lamp.
Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it for a samsung ,it works like your mitusibishi:http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php The ballast has a sensor that detects when it's not able to power the lamp or if lamp is not responding,it will flash red when that sensor detects that. When you say: "it began to roll like the vertical and horizontal hold did not work
then the sound went out" Do you mean you where getting horizontal lines? If you did that could be the Dmd.his is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens. Usually when there's a green light it could indicate a problem with the power supply, sometimes some capacitors do go bad. Check all of this and comment on this answer to see how it went.
