There could be three very good reasons I can think of immediately.

1) Check your power adapter to be sure it is working properly. You may want to find someone with a voltage meter to do this.

2) Check the power adapter plug on the laptop. These plugs are bad about becoming loose over time. When we use our laptops we tend to move them around especially if we are holding them in our laps. This causes the adapter plug to be pulled back and forth which can actually break it from the motherboard inside the laptop. No connection...no charge.

3) Be sure your battery is still good. Batteries can go bad like anything else and many times are the reason the PC won't charge.

Wont Start up - Microsoft file missing

I am unfamiliar with your specific type of EEEPC, Myself I got one of the very first models of EEEPC notebook, it had a small round button on the underside of the device, typically only accessable with a sharp pen, as I understood, pressing this button down for a few seconds (up to 10 varying between systems) this would reset the entire system to factory settings upon next boot. Naturally though this would cause you a major dataloss of any document or media you saved on the notebooks internal harddrive.

I CANT GET MY E169 MODEM TO WORK ON A EEEPC 701SD

Now i need your trust on this one---i also have failed to get these dongles working--and some of them are £20 and some £49.99--if you as me my honest opinion i think people connected to this company (huawei)post this rubbish so you buy the modem and waste your money.
the standard eeepc doesnt recognise the dongle in its wizard set-up.your welcome to try some of the hamshack script line code which,if you look on the net you will find--me personally i wont be trying again

HI, I HAVE AN Eeepc 901 and my caps lock goes CRAZY. ALTERNATE ON AND OFF WITHOUT ANY PUSH IT. I INSTALED AGAIN WINDOWS BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST

sounds like component board/switch failure .If your eeepc is less that 2 years old Asus will collect and repair it for you free of charge.
Also could be "pirate" or non genuine software--its a possibility

I need to charge my Eee PC notebook from a 12volt supply.

very cheap $10 solution!

buy a "car charger" (fits in cigarette lighter socket)
for the eeepc. Many people sell these on Amazon and EBay for about $10.

This thing converts the 12 volts available out of the cigarette lighter socket,
to about 9.5 volts for the eeepc input..That's exactly what you need,,, right?

if you need a different connector for the 12 volt side, go to Radio Shack and
get a socket adapter or socket adapter into just two wires (red and black).

You didn't say where you are getting the 12 volts from (car battery?)
Not finding what you are looking for?
