Question about Canon imageRUNNER 3300 All-In-One Laser Printer
E-000602-0003 error is occurring when machine powered on
Posted on Aug 29, 2009
An E602 is a Hard Drive error on any canon copier with a hard drive.. Most of the time it has to be replaced because of mechanical failure
Sometimes this can be a bad sector on the harddrive. If this is the case you can correct it by running check disk.
Power the machine down with the main power switch on the side of the device.
Hold down the 1 and 9 keys together on the keypad. do not let go.
Turn on the main power switch.. still do not let go of 1 and 9.
When you see a block on the top left corner of the LCD panel you have succesfully activated check disk.
I have seen this take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.
After it is complete the machine will reboot (some models must rebooted manually, i can not remember if this model reboots automatically or not)
If this does not fix it.. you will need to call a Canon Authorized service center to replace the Hard Drive. This is because you require Canon Proprietary software (Service Support Tool) to load the proprietary system software on the new harddrive. Also the Hard Drive model must be in he Service Support tool's database of approved harddrives. .. Neither is purchasable as a private individual legally.. (As far as I know)
Hope this helps.
