Question about Maytag MAH6500 Neptune Front Loading Washer w/Built in Water Heater

1 Answer

Loud Noise I still don't think I am explaining myself. The noise is only in the spin cycle, and it is kind of like turning on a fan from low speed to high speed as the the washer is spinning out. When it first starts to spin it is normal but the longer it spins the louder it gets. there has never been any banging noises.

machine spins really loud sounds like a jet.

Loud, constant noise during spin cycle. Drum rotates with a vibration, like it has a bad bearing or roller wheel. Same noise with drive belt disconnected and drum spun by hand.

Okay If these efforts fail, Next, test the timer motor, inspect the pump for blockage (see below), test the machine motor.the sound during spin cycle may be due to gears on the motor shaft wobble, the bearings may be worn out or some of the moving parts may be misaligned.
its a sign that the motor, the rotor, stator, or brushes may be worn .or the motor is overheating and may require lubrication, the motor's windings may be wearing out
If the motor is too hot to touch, something may be blocking ventilation around the motor.
the , bearings may be worn out

Inspect the water pump for a blockage
Inspect the coupling
Inspect the transmission
Adjust the drive belt tension
Check the motor bearings
Check the drum brakes .

Duet washer making a loud noise on spin cycle, it squeaks on low spin and then when it gets up to high speed, it is really loud. What could this be?

In most cases it is something that is sticking between the drum and the housing. Check inside the boot by the door. If that is not helpful move the drum by hand and listen to see if you can locate the area of the noise.

Loud whirring noise going into rinse cycle. Low

Hi tuck just read your posting. Now on the low whirring noise on the start of the rinse cycle ,Is it when the machine is draining the water or filling with water. If the noise happens when the machine is draining then I think either your pump has something slowing it down or it is faulty. Please look underneath the machine to the front right and you should see a red or black fan .If you do then this is your pump.If you don't see a fan you must have the newer style of pump. Please reply with additional information on the questions and I am sure I can help you rectify this problem

cabrio and calypso have some issues with either main bearing problems or brake drive issues, either or this is an expensive fix, so if you have an extended wty, call your service provider, if not, just replace it, repair most likely in excess of 600.

Hotpoint Ultima WMA61 loud knocking noise in spin cycle

Hello I think that the drum bearings have gone on the machine..

To open the door and spin the empty drum quickly by hand and you should hear the noise or say a less amplifed one.. Also another way to check is to move the inner durm up and down to see if there is any play in it..

If you need any further advice then dont hesistate to ask....
