It says no info on the programs I want to record and won't record them. The guide also shows no info in those areas.

Janette578,

Make sure the receiver is powered off each night so it can receive updates through the satellite to the guide.

You can force a guide download by unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. If that doesn't work, you can run a check switch test from Menu > System Setup > Installation > Point Dish > Check Switch > Test. Let it finish, then exit out of the menu and let it acquire signal and download the guide.

If you have any other questions, or need further assistance, let me know!

Trying to program bose univeral remote to control vip622 dvr. I have tried the codes bose suggested.

Hi my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. I see you have a Bose universal remote and you want to program it to your VIP622 DVR. We do not have codes to setup other remotes to our DISH equipment. With our SD/HD receivers they are installed with a DISH universal remote that can control many different components including a Bose system. If you have any further DISH questions please e-mail me at [email protected]

My screen is gray and i cant change the chanel!

Hello, this is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network customer service. If the problem is on TV1, try using the TV manufacturer remote to change the inputs on the TV (the button may say input, TV/Video, or source). If the problem is on TV2, try using the TV manufacturer remote to change the TV to channel 60 or 73. When/if you get a picture, make sure to press the "SAT" button one time on the DISH Network remote. If your problem is still not resolved, try going to http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/receiver/622.shtml, or feel free to post back here. Hope this helps.

We cannot watch a show on another channel on other

Hello! Dan Busa here with DISH Network customer service. This is actually how your DVR is supposed to function. A 622 is a dual tuner reciever meaning it's capable of watching or recording two live shows at a time. When you record a show you tie up one tuner, there are two work arounds. You can get an additional dvr receiver or you can set up record preferences and have everything automatically record to tv2.

The second TV on my ViP622 receiver has some audio static. Is there a solution for this?

If this is a new devopment the receiver may be faulty. Try disconnecting the TV 2 line from the back of the receiver and connecting it to TV1 if it has a coax input and place on TV2 channel. If all is clear the issue is in the cabling or hardware and will require a tech visit. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

DISH DVR doesn't respond to remote

  1. If this is a TV2 location take the remote to the location of the DVR.
  2. Open the door on the right side of your receiver.
  3. Press SYS INFO.
  4. Press Record multiple times on your remote.
  5. Exit the screen and see if the remote works, if not replace the batteries and repeat steps 1-4
  6. If the remote still doesnt work, and this is a tv2 location (no receiver in the room with the tv) check the antenna on the back of your receiver, make sure that it is connected tightly and standing straight up.
  7. If none of this works call Dish and ask for a new remote.

No signal on TV2 with dishvip622.

If the blue light on the receiver is on then your tv is most likely on the wrong channel after checking cabeling i would do a reset on receiver first wait for it to come back on, then run a channel scan on your tv2 you can do this with orignal tv remote under the menu options. its also refered to as a auto search or auto program.
