My camera has gone "blind" I can view pre-recorded stuff on the LCD screen so the problem is not there. But if I try to record anything new to tape, all I get is sound. When I switch on to camera mode, all I get is blank screen. Basically I now have an expensive tape recorder.
-   Same problem here. When I put the main switch in VCR or Memory mode, everything works fine, I can play back pre-recorded material. When in camera mode, the system doesn't start, I get no response at all (no LCD, no viewfinder, no power)
Already checked tape (lock switch in the right place), different battery, hard reset, ... nothing helped.
-   I also have exaclty the same problem. Havent found a solution yet-   Guest

-   Did a transfer video picture from an old camcorder to nv-gs50 and able to play back the video visible on the lcd screen. But when trying to use the camera mode to record video, the camera and lcd are blank. When recorded for a few seconds and playback, no picture being showed except the sound. Not sure what has went wrong as the nv-gs50 was functioning well just a month ago. Any help in this issue?-   king88

I'm having the same problem many seem to be having regarding the Panasonic PVGS250 video camera. It will turn on for about 20 seconds and then it will stop recording and it will tell me to press reset button. After I do, it will reboot and I can record for about 20 seconds and then it will shut down and tell me to reset again. It also shuts down and asks me to hit the reset if it's just in standby mode, or on and I'm not recording. Curiously, in playback mode it does not do this and it seems to stay in playback mode for as long as I want it to stay in playback.
