In our orginisation we have 15 same model printers wich is working in winxp and its a plug and play even I had installed the drivers several times i download and reinstall from the cd wich we get from the vendor but the same I had replaced the same printer to other desktop it does the same thing so there is no problem with drivers b'coz other same model printers are working on that PC, when I bring the printer to my workshop I open and remove all board connectors and plug its work normal for few hour after that the same thing happen junk language printout.please help

Obtain the drivers for the printer and copy them to a location on your hard drive re-install the printer using the Add Printer in the Printers and Faxes area if XP finds the LX allow it to install.
Once it is installed do a Print Test page , if the print is correct you are on a roll if not go to Device Manager and ask it to update the driver
It will ask you if you have a better driver say yes and point it to the entry you made on your hard drive
If you need a driver update, log on support.epson.com. Click on printers, then click on impact under printers. Click on the LQ-680. Click on windows under drivers and downloads and select the driver compatible with your operating system.
