    using the 2 to 1 rca adapter to the woofer alone produces no sound so with the other speakers connected to it wont make a difference and the woofers amp will be set on low pass filter so if it were to work only low end sounds would come out of the speakers

    in most cases that would work but in this case we're running 3 amps. it should be possible to run both the sub and rear outputs aswell as the front.(in my car i run 4 amps,1 off the front o/p's 2off the rear o/p's and 1 off the sub o/p) this is the first unit ive seen to only hav 1 rca o/p for the sub

Your best bet is to buy a quality stereo. Then you will have more outputs. Research a unit for what your needs are. If you still need assistance please let me know.

Hi,

If I understand your post right, you have:

  • a Fusion CA-CD500 with a single RCA subwoofer output;
  • you have a sub-amp with two RCA inputs;
  • tried a 2 is to 1 RCA adapter;
  • tried various connection method;
  • not had any success, that is to make the subs sound.
A couple of ideas:
  • most external amp would need the usual red (+12) and black (body ground) and a trigger wire, normally blue or blue w/ white stripe from the head unit;
  • most high end are bridgeable, so it would not matter which of the two RCA iputs have signal or if ever, there would be a marking;
  • initially determine if the sub-amp is working with or without the head unit by verifying if there is +12, negative is body grounded and jumping the trigger/turn-on to B+12; temporarily touching the free end of a plug RCA male should produce a thumping sound, if none, then the amp is defective, if yes then issue is with the head unit/remote trigger.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

There is either a headphone size jack on the back labeled aux or a blue square plug. If it is the headphone jack then you need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. But if I remember right you have the blue plug and need to buy the auxillary adapter. Then you need a 3.5mm to rca cable. The outputs are only outputs not inputs. Turning the Aux on in the menu does bring it under Source now.

Car stereo pre-out signal noise

Two things, a ground loop isolator in-line with the RCA's between the head unit and the first amp.....also a noise reducing capacitor ( $5 or$6 at an auto parts store) on the alternator 12v post will reduce or remove the hum.

RCA ports on back of a Pioneer cd player

Well you should have two sets, front and rear. Either of those sets can be used to go to the amp and it should work fine bridged. If your problem still exists then either you are getting a bad signal form the RCA outputs on the deck or have anouther problem somewhere in the system like in the amp or amp connections. What exactly does the amp do?

A Dual car cd player'' remote wire ''blue''

Run ur remote wire to the head unit from the amp its blue and u said the head unit u have is a duel it should have a yellow wire or or a dark blue one. hook up the remote wire to one of those and let me know if that works and one more thing do not run the RCA cables on the same side of the car or truck what ever u have but if ur power wire and the remote wire are on the left hand side run ur RCA'S on right from the head unit to the amp.

The system remote control is usually a blue wire on your decks harness and it is for an amplifier for a sub or other speakers. It sends power to the subs amp when the deck is turned on. You may need to find the wires coming off the antenna and splice them into the red power switching wire 12v on you decks wire harness. Good luck
