Have lost the manual and have set the time, but have to keep pushing program and set buttons umpteen times before I can make the hour for brewing start flashing so that I can program the pot to begin brewing at a future time. By the time I do so, I can't remember how it happened. Could you tell me how to do so? Thanks for your help
Press PROGRAM until you see the tiny bell icon on the bottom of the screen
Press CLOCK until you get to the hour you want to start brewing
Press SET to switch to minutes
Press CLOCK to get to the minutes you want to start brewing
Press SET to finalize
Press PROGRAM to activate. When the little bell is flashing, the coffee pot is set to go on at the desired time. While the coffee pot is on or in warming mode, there are vertical lines on the top of the LCD screen that shows you it is on. If you press the ON/OFF button, you can turn it off before the two hour keep warm cycle is complete.

Hi, If you have a Farberware, Just look into the bottom of the pot. There you will see what looks like a hole in the pot. That is the high heating element, under the pot, when you go to make coffee the pump ( rod) sits into the hole. When you turn it on to make coffee the high heating element that the pump is in gets very hot and starts pushing the water that is in the hole to the top (that is called perking) the hot water goes over the the top and the drops into the coffee, This keeps going on until the thermostat feels it has reached 190 degrees or close to it and turns the high element off. While this is running it's cycle the keep warn is on helping the water to get hot, when the main element is off the keep warm element that runs around the bottom of the pot stays on all the time the pot is plugged in. Should the coffee get to cold the thermostat will turn the main heating element back on until it is back to 190. This system was developed by Farberware and a lot of makers copied it, But Farberware sold the pots and was known for a FAST and HOT cup of coffee. Farberware started making them in China and the pots are having a hard time keeping it up to American standers, and parts are very scarce.Farberware USA pots have been around a long, long time and are still going strong . I hope this helped you to understand how the pot works.

It sounds like the problem I've been having with all Farberware percolators lately. It sounds like the thermostat is bad, I called customer service and they are no help I was told that Farberware doesn't sell repair parts.I found a place in Miami Fl that can help. Goodman's at Goodmans.net their part number is 4FA-FTC and lists for $4.99 plus sh it's not an exact match it's slightly thinner then the original but with a little creativity it will work just fine I've fixed 3 percolators already
Go to Hamilton Beach dot com, pull down customer suppot menu, click on use and care guides, type in product and model number, click send and your manual will load. Print it out so you have it. Setting the timer is a piece of cake, Hold down the program button until the clock flashes. While still holding the program button down, set the timer for whatever time you want the pot to perk. Let go of the program button. To check if the timer is set right right, puch the prigram button just long enough to see what time it is set for. If it's right, prepare the pot the night before, push the program button to set and forget about it. It will perk at the time you set every morning. Katherine

My second one just died, and I am very sad, but I can help you with your question. First you have to set the time. Do that by pressing the hour or minute buttons until the time blinks. Then you can press the buttons to set the time. AM/PM are differiented by a red dot coming on in the time display. You can set that as preferred. To set the timer feature, press the time button until the time blinks. Then use the hr and min button to set your timer setting. Pay careful attention to match the am/pm button with what you want.- if you don't you will be 12 hour off. To use the delay, set up the coffee pot, then push time. The red time indicator will light. If you are using ground coffee press the mill button. If it is lit, the mill will not turn on. This goes for either timed brewing or present tense brewing. THe coffee pot has a timer - it will shut itself off after 1 hour. If you want to restart it, just push the mill button and press the on/off button.
