If you have a Google Mail etc e-mail account already then take note of details
Name:
Address:
Password:
and less important
Description:

Name: = descriptive name for yourself such as 'my e-mail'
Address: = the actuall e-mail address you signed up for 'example'@googlemail.com
Password: = password you chose on sign up
Description: = my google account for example

on iphones home screen click settings icon then scroll down to
Mail, Contacts, Calendars
and if neccessary click Add Account. you are shown a screen full of e-mail account providers and if yours is there (google mail for this example) click it else click 'other' at the bottom of the screen.

Enter your details as described above in the relevant fields and click save. The phone should then do a check and retrieve the required settings from google mail and show a tick mark beside each feild to say successful you will then have your e-mail account set-up

I used yahoo mail after going online from my pc and setting up a new account it was free and very painless to set up in the phone..

Want to set up email and messenger on my phone

if you are using android 4.0, go to the googleplay store and download your messenger (i.e. yahoo) from there. it's a free download. you should have setup a free gmail account with your phone, you will need it to log into googleplay. you can also add existing webmail accounts, other than gmail, to the email program that came with your android phone. just click the menu button on your phone and choose settings. then click "add account" and follow the instructions from there.

Hi how do i cofigure my samsung corby pro for e-mails? please help

I have research and found the following solutions,I haven't tried them for my self yet but they seem to be solving the problem.

Go to menu/settings/application settings/message/email/email account/create account and follow the instructions below

Account Name: (your Gmail id) SMPT Server: smpt.gmail.com SMPT Port: 465 Secure Connection: SSL Incoming Server Type: POP3 POP3 server: pop.gmail.com POP3 port: 995 APOP login: no Secure connection: SSL Download limit: 500 IMAP4 incoming email: disable Retrieving option: subject only Keep on server: yes My email address: (your Gmail id) Username: (your mail id) Password: ********* POP before SMPT: no SMPT path: yes Same as POP3/IMAP4: yes User name: disabled Password: disable
If you want to set up your other accounts such as yahoo and hotmail, then just change the things given below, and leave the rest as it is.

Server settings for hotmail: Server (SMPT) - smpt.live.com SMPT Port - 25 Secure connection: SSL POP3 server: - pop3.live.com POP3 Port - 995

Server settings for yahoo: Server (SMPT) - smpt.mail.yahoo.com SMPT Port - 25 Secure Connection - SSL POP3 server - pop.mail.yahoo.com POP3 port - 110
Have a great day!

I am unable to setup my email wizard in my samsung corby

Standard instructions for email inbox setup:

i have finished my corby pro email settings & i can send and recieve emails. the problem with only recieving & not able to send is the confusion between port numbers. in secure connection box three options available ' off ', ' SSL ', ' TLS '. use only SSL or TLS because the port numbers for SSL & TLS differs. just try this & you will be able to send and recieve emails.

                                                    SMTP port - 465

                                                    POP3 port - 995

Enable POP in Gmail. Don't forget to click Save Changes when you're done.Configure your client to match the settings below:Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL:pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS or SSL:smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
Port for SSL: 465Account Name:your full email address (including @gmail.com or@your_domain.com)Email Address:your email address (username@gmail.com orusername@your_domain.com)Password:your Gmail password

Unless you're using recent mode to download mail to multiple clients, make sure you've opted not to leave messages on the server. Your Gmail settings determine whether or not messages stay on the server, so this setting in your client won't affect how Gmail handles your mail.

Please note that if your client does not support SMTP authentication, you won't be able to send mail through your client using your Gmail address.

Also, if you're having trouble sending mail but you've confirmed that encyrption is active for SMTP in your mail client, try to configure your SMTP server on a different port: 465 or 587.

You're now ready to use POP with your Gmail address.

Ifoe p168

I'm using a friends iFoe P168 Plus and yes, you can reset to manufacturers default settings. Go to "System", then "Settings" and finally, "Restore Factory Settings". Once you do that, the default code to unlock is 1122. If you still have the manual, which I found only partially helpful with this phone, it gives you the default code to unlock.

Can't get online with my p168 phone

First, do you have the settings on the phone correct?
Second, try pulling the battery and leaving out for 30 seconds and put back in. Try again.
Change timeout by going to the main menu, services, wap, settings, browser settings and make sure timeout reads "300".

P168 invalid sim probs

Saulcr you may have to do a manual network selection. Go to phone settings, network settings, prefered network, and keep searching and trying each network in the area until it works. Be forewarned that roaming charges may apply.
