Recharging phone constant beep

26939ge2 replace battery and still handset is no power. caller id light is out and no dial tone. i need help

I have the same problem... The base just constantly beeps. It's incredibly annoying.

When misplaced in the charger the xg2200 beeps, are you sure the phone is placed correctly?

alot of cordless phones will beep when the battery is weak and as I found out the hard way its because of corrosion on the battery contacts on the phone but most of the time the contacts on the base is bad.

I had that problem once, the phone was dead even if I left it hours for a recharge. It got solved when I unplugged and replugged the power cord.

I need a new phone from At&t. I've never got to talk on this new phone yet. I called and talk to somone on the 800 number and they said they would send me new batteries in 5 working days. I never received any batteries. I went and bought new batteries for a new phone and it still won't charge up. I want this made right one way or the other.

Many people get the low battery warning or low range warning even though their phone is working fine. You can easily disable those tones by pushing menu, and scroll down to local or handset settings, then find the option for tones. Push select to remove the check mark by the warning tone you wish to disable.

Throw it out.
