Hp SH249 LCD monitor is flashing

You probably have failed capacitors inside the monitor. It's apparently a common problem that has happened to my Samsung.
Symptoms are flashing video for several seconds before becoming steady on. I am in the process of having new capacitors shipped to me so that I can repair it.
Try http://lcdalternatives.com/
They sell repair kits specific to monitors.
I did not see your specific monitor listed, but I did see the 2410. Send them an email and ask them if their kit for the 2410 will work, if not, then they can make a kit for you. You will have to identify some parts for them, but it should fix the problem and you won't have to buy a new monitor. For some reason they did not respond by phone.
Apparently due to corporate espionage, some companies made inferior capacitors for a time. It's called the "capacitor plague".

Monitor picture fades out.

I thought my problem was originally monitor related. However since I posted, the picture disappeared altogether, and my PC wouldn't even start to bootup. Fearing my mobo may have died I removed the hardware components, cleaned then re-assembled them. After all that, it turned out that my graphics card has a tendency to become slightly unseated. Once I was aware of this problem booting up resumed normally. It seems that the problem of the fading monitor picture seems to still occur, but soon after I use the machine after 'hibernation' state, and even then it doesn't always occur if I do use hibernation. I haven't used hibernation for a little while and so far the problem has not returned

Monitor Flashes Gray, Then nothing

try to decrease the screen resolution. try to 640 x 480 then raise to 800 x 600. for old CRT monitor maybe have a problem with 1024 x 768. if decrease not work, then you might have a hardware problem, you need to purchase a new one. try the test first. maybe you can test with your monitor of your friends first :-), if work, you need to purchase a new one.

Flashing monitor

the ram itself is not related to your problem, but check the VGA lead connections at both ends and see if the connection is loose and also check the power cable. Other than that it may be the monitor circuitry or CRT itself thats the problem and after warming up the problem goes away, so a repair may be needed or a replacement monitor.

Blank Screen..Will not power off

The flash light test only works with lcd monitor as they have back lights. Double check the connections again, also, if you can borrow a monitor try it on your pc, it may be your graphics driver needs to be uninstalled and re-installed, but you will need a monitor to see.

Extend the life of my batteries

Using the flash and LCD monitor affects the rate at which the batteries will drain. The rate at which pictures are taken will also affect battery life. When taking pictures sequentially the battery does not have as much time to recover between each shot. To help to extend the life of your battery, the flash, LCD monitor, and sequential shooting should only be used only as necessary.
