Sweeper vibrates when pushed forward.

My kirby ultimate G series vibrates or gives resistance when pushed forward. I replaced the rear wheels thinking that would solve the problem but it is still happening. Any suggestions on what is going on and how to fix it?

Do u put it on drive or neutral? does the wheels spin when on drive? is the height adjuster on the right level?

It is in drive when I am having the problems and the wheels are spinning. I also changed the height adjuster thinking that was the problem but it still does it regardless of where the height is positioned. I also tried adjusting the roller brush and that also did not help.

Kirby will not push forward, wheels are locked

Check the back side at the bottom to see if there is a lever (switch) that has an N on one side and D on the other. You press N to roll the vacuum when it is NOT ON. N is for nuetral. You press D when the vacuum is ON and you are using it. D is for drive.

How do I change the belt on my Kirby sweeper?

1)First, you turn the square belt lifter on the front of the power nozzle until the red arrows line up (belt off)
2)Remove the power head from the front of the machine. Now turn the belt lifter the other way and line the green arrows up again. This releases the tension on the belt
3)Turn it upside down and release the two clips that hold the metal baseplate on and remove the baseplate and you can access the belt.

Kirby ultimate g

Vibrating – that usually happens on some short fiber or very dense carpets. When nozzle goes against the carpet fiber Kirby starts jumping. Try vacuuming the same place while facing opposite way.

Belt – red arrows means DISENGAGE. When you install the nozzle on the Kirby unit while green arrows match you will not be able to turn it on red. You must follow sequence (starting from nozzle off the Kirby, green arrows match, Kirby front lifter all the way up by pressing one of the pedals):
1. Turn Kirby knob to match red arrows. You will feel some tension and hook inside of the nozzle is supposed to catch the belt and stretch forming a loop for the Kirby shaft.
2. Put the nozzle on the Kirby and lock it on with the latch.
3. Twist the knob back to match the green arrows. YOU ARE DONE

Go to GoodVac.com Kirby vacuum online manual. There are some small details that you may want to pay attention to if you have removed the brush roll to install a new belt. Also there are some pictures that will help you understanding the process.

Kirby ultimate G My belt broke & sucked into my sweeper & got stuck. My husband had to take it a part, he go out the belt but the accessory lock now is striped. Can that be replaced? Have you ever heard of this?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Yes, the accessory lock can be replaced but it may be part of the actual vacuum head of which could be expensive, it may be molded onto the vacuum head and would be replaced. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

How to replace a fuse a Kirby Ultimate G Series

There is no fuse in the Kirby. There are few things that you want to check:
1. Cord - most likely cause. It may not be damaged but wires inside may have snapped if it got between doors.
2. Safety switch inside - no easy way to check. We usually just put a new one in and see if it solves the problem.
3. Motor - very unlikely that something is wrong with the motor - those are very hard to kill.
