You would'nt have bought it from fixya, you have mistakingly clicked the link to our problems site, but you say you type 102.168.2.1, this should be 192.168.2.1 into your web browser, this will access your router log in page.

I want to connect my wireless to my lap top thank you

It seems the Dynalink Analog Modem doen't support wi-fi. You'll need both a wireless router/modem and a wireless network card in order to be able to connect using a wireless signal.

I am not able to connect through internal wifi(wireless) network device in my Toshiba Satellite L505D Laptop. I am able to connect net through a external USB wireless network adapter. What is the problem...

Locate the wireless switch and turn it on? if it is on you might need to reset the modem from your service provider. Just go and hit the reset button on the modem or turn it off completely. Power it up again and make sure that the switch is turned on if you have one for this lap top some are automatic.
The switch is usually located on the left or right front of the lap top housing in the front or on the keypad. You may have to push the FN key if the key is blue highlighted. Hit FN and press the wireless key if applicable. Make sure all is on and switched then reset the wireless modem or connection.

I just bought a dell laptop and the house hold has two desktops connected to ethernet cables to a dsl modem. the lap top we had connected wireless and now it wont connect unless we connect it to ethernet...

Turn on the wireless switch ON in the laptop if it has one. Check to make sure the wireless adapter appears in the Device Manager. Then check the wireless network connections on you computer - it should pick-up all surrounding wireless SSID's. Locate yours and enter the security keys for your modem when prompted. Make sure it is the correct number to get a connection. Also, check your modem settings from one of the desktop computers - there should be a web page for it by using your Internet browser, to verify that its' wireless transmitter is on.

I have just bought an n wireless router to take to spain with me however i only have a lap top and your instructions seem to say to connect to a computer tower.can i do it directly to lap top

Yes, your laptop PC will work fine. Normally you need to be sure the laptop is on the same network as the router and connect to its Ethernet (LAN) port via the built in wired network adapter on your laptop to configure.

WirelessModem

First to clarify; is this a WIRELESS ROUTER?
If it is OK, there are also LAN/ethernet outputs on it as well.
DESKTOP COMPUTERS do not typically contain Wi-Fi apadters or 'antenna', these are in most all laptops made these days.
If you have a wireless Wi-Fi Router then it should be fairly straitforward to connect laptops (Start Menu>Connect To, in Windows)
You may have to either HARD WIRE (ethernet line) or buy an internal Wi-Fi or USB Wi-Fi Adapter/antenna. If it's a fairly recent wireless router this becomes fairly straight forward after that.

Trying to connect desk top computer and lap top computer

There is only two ways to possibly connect both the desktop and the laptop in the network. That is to purchase a router so you can connect them both or a route with a wireless and then the laptop (Which most new ones have a wireless capability installed) can connect wireless from anywhere in the home. If you already have a Cable or DSL Modem it may have a wireless capability. Otherwise you would have to get a wireless modem. Hope this helps. Bud
