I have the same problem with the color lines scrolling up the screen. I've had my 4805 for almost 4 years now, and just tonight it started displaying the colored lines scrolling up the screen. The lines are about 6 to 12 inches wide and are just barely visible. Just enough to "tint" the picture as they scroll up. Distracting to say the least! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, I fixed my colored line problem. I have an XBOX 360, a PS3, and my DISH all plugged into a component switch box. After unplugging the xbox 360 from the switch box, the problem went away. I had to switch around inputs until I found a way to have everything plugged in with no colored lines scrolling up the screen. Apparently there was just some interference going on with things being plugged in too close to each other or wires crossing or whatever. Hopefully this will help others!

First: Check your connections. Some times people can have the cables connected the wrong way in the pj which makes the screen either all red or distored looking, etc.

If that doesn't work..

Then any thing that has horizontal or color lines, dots, or zig zags on the pj means something wrong with the mother board. This is something that you can not typically do on your own. The best way is to have an authorized in focus dealer work on it, even if its no longer under warranty you can find out great locations through their website or themselves for the people whom are used to fixing pj's otherwise you might run into other problem if some one is not experienced in pj work.

I've worked for a competitor to this brand in the past and that was always a huge sign that something internal was going on if it wasn't a connection error. 9 times out of 10 it was an internal error. I did have some one whom hooked up his component cables wrong which created a red/green image. Once he fixed that it was okay after that.

Let me know how things go. I wish you luck. Some times its hard to trouble shoot all the way through with out being there. Let me know how things work out.

if the bar is black or purple you can try to use a ground lift plug and see if your having a grounding issue.

White Vertical line in the screen.

Again, this sounds like a light tunnel failure. See my other post about this.
I replaced my light tunnel with square brass tubing I picked up at the hobby shop.

My video yellow plug works fine, showing correct video colors yet, the red blue green connection is only showing picture in a pale green

Yellow is composite input if RGB is not working it's probably a cable/output problem try with a different device first.

I turn on the 4805,green led blinks & bulb does not come on?

After a few minuets does the green blinking light turn to a red blinking light?

If so the problem is the lamp did not strike.Either the lamp has failed (most likely) or there is a problem with the power supply (less likely)

Colors showing red on screen

Hi Stella,
There is a button on the projector called "Auto Image"
Most people don't realize it's even there.
Press it while you are seeing this problem and most likely the projector will figure out the image issue and all will be well.
Note: this feature is nowhere in the menu(s)

Good Luck!

Infocus 4805 blinking red light problem

My first questions is:

Is this the first lamp you have placed into your Infocus pj? If not, did you reset the hours when you did it last time? Otherwise that can also confuse the projectors internal system thinking there is NOT a new lamp in there and there for make it stop working once the clock hours are expired and over the 3000-6000 suggested hour life.

Let me know so I can help trouble shoot other possible problems.

No color

Color wheel disc is broken and not repairable, problem is unless you know someone that can get the part you have to take your projector to an authorised service centre.
