My dell vostro 230 desktop doesn't display anything at all, funs are moving. what can i do?

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to identify the fault and possible fix :-

My computer shuts down abruptly even before loading windows.all the funs are running normally thus i overule the problem of overheating.

you could run a memory test "mamtest86", you could start removing unnecesarry pherephials and cards (who needs a telephone momem anymore?) and disabling devices in your bios, and you could test your power supply.

My new computer will not play videos from the web.

Your problem might be that your Internet connection is too slow. If that's not the problem, then it could be your anti-virus program kicking in when you try to open a video. Try turning it off and then try your videos. Also make sure you have the latest version of the Microsoft media player and Flash player updated. Video uses a lot of resources so if your computer has any performance issues, they will show up when trying to do something that is resource intensive like playing videos. So the problem might not be the videos at all, but your system might need defragmenting and cleaned up to get it performing at its best.

My Dell inspiron 1520 has been running slower for a few months now, however now when i load WoW it funs like normal for a short time and then the Fps crashes. When this happens Videos and anything...

It almost sounds like your graphics card is overheating or causing your system to overheat after a while of playing. This would definitely cause your computer to slow or even come to a halt.

Try cleaning out the dust and make sure the fans are running well. You may have to add more fans or replace the ones that are in there. Also, if you are using the computer in a hot environment, you will need some other source of cooling the components such as liquid cooling.

I hope this helps :)

Best Regards,

How do you troubleshoot the electrical cooling fan not working on a 95 tercel?

Disconnect the plug from the coolant switch/thermocouple....if the fan funs....then the switch/thermocouple is bad.
