Chevy tahoe would not start because we change out the fuel pump with a brand new fuel pump. We connected the fuel pump proper according to detail diagram provide by the factory. The vehicle is a 1997 tahoe with 350 engine

When the fuel pump was changed, the battery was disconnected as standard practice.Now the Security System needs resetting.

There is no fuel reset button on Chevy vehicles . I suggest you watch this video on fuel pump relay testing . GM Fuel Pump Relay Testing Because this is what is involved in trouble shooting fuel pump systems on GM vehicles !

Either it is not getting fuel into the cylinders OR the spark plugs are not firing. Could be defective ignition switch, blown fuse to the fuel pump, blown fuse to the ignition, bad connection somewhere, you failed to pay for your permit to drive from the Homeland Security Bureau

could be fuel pump or even crank or cam , timing sensor. Did it start running strange before this?

These vehicles are prone to failed antitheft security systems. When these fail, the system shuts down the fuel injectors because the security can't read the key properly.

Have you tried having the fuel inject.'s cleaned or replaced?
Or new distributor cap, plugs and wires?

It is not a fuel pump problem.
It a cold start valve problem. It didn't open. There are 2 things to check.
1- The cooling thermal sensor is not sending the proper signal to the ECU to turn on the cold start valve.
2- The bad solenoid inside the cold start valve causing it not operational.
Case 1 you can easily replace the thermal sensor.
Case 2 checking this requires professional skill to confirm if there is a signal at the valve during the start.

IVE HAD PLENTY OF THESE GO OUT EVEN A MONTH LATER. AS FAR AS THE STARTING FLUID JUST TRY AND CYCLE KEY BUT KEEP IT FROM TURNING STATER OVER. TURN ON AND OFF ABOUT 3 TO 5 TIMES IT SHOULD BUILD ENOUGH PRESSURE TO START. TO START MINIMUN PRESS IS 55PSI.

replace fuel pump relay. check all fuses to ignition and pcm .make sure they are not loose. check coil wires make sure they not loose.look at battery if you have the ac delco seal battery make sure green eye still there .if its black have battery check out.
