Question about Sony Computers & Internet
Hi, I'm sorry to have to ask for help, but, I have 3 big annoying problems.
First: When I turn it on I have to press Prt SysRq button constantly so it will boot , otherwise wont boot and makes a continuous loud ringing noise.
Second : After boot, anything I type is shown backwards until I press the spacebar, then the typing is shown correctly, but sometimes programs will not scroll until I hit the spacebar again.
Thirdly: The letter C will not work so I have plugged in an usb keyboard.
I would like to use the keyboard on the laptop.
Hope you can help
You cannot just replace one letter on a laptop keyboard. You have to replace the whole keyboard. Make sure you get the correct part for your model of laptop.

Using a USB keyboard should pose no problem, just plug it in and it should work fine.
The other problems are difficult to diagnose without using tools to work on it.
First make sure you don't have a stuck key.
Checking whether the laptop keyboard/cable is seated correctly or removing it and reseating it may stop the problem.
If you do this be sure the laptop is not plugged in and the battery is removed.
I'm not familiar with sony laptops though most laptops if you remove the panel with the power button, sometimes held on by screws beneath the battery, you can remove two or three screws to remove the keyboard.
Doing this may solve your problem though I've never seen such a problem before. You either have a bad keyboard or motherboard.
I would guess the keyboard first since C does not work and you have to press Prt Scr/Print Screen to make it boot to stop a ringing noise. It kind of sounds like you may have a stuck key and since C does not work it would most likely be C that is stuck.
