Re: no electric supplier output

Not likely. some sorts of cheap speakers work only with batteries or use the computer's circuit.

There could be a defect in the connector. Check both sides for continuity.

Replacement power supply - can i convert AC to DC output connector?

I'm not clear on the four pins of the DC power supply for the speakers. Do you think there two different voltages needed??? It's not worth trying to convert your ac power supply/ It would take a few parts and you will not end up with 18 vdc. You can purchase a 18 v dc adapter for as little as 15.00.

What's the output of the speaker system in watts ?

Audio power is the electrical power transferred from an audio amplifier to a loudspeaker, measured in watts. The electrical power delivered to the loudspeaker and its sensitivity determines the sound power level generated (with the rest being converted to heat).
Amplifiers are limited in the electrical energy they can amplify, loudspeakers are limited in the electrical energy they can convert to sound energy without distorting the audio signal or destroying themselves. These power ratings are important to consumers finding compatible products and comparing competitors

I recently installed Windows 7 and my Boston BA745 speakers will not work. I'm looking for driver or other solutions.

1) Try the portable player test. Unplug the speakers from the computer and plug them into the headphone output of a portable-type stereo product. This test should produce sound. If it does the problem is most likely in the soundcard, or in your internal volume settings. You should contact your computer's support group for further help in those areas.

2) Is the green power light illuminated? If not, you could have one of two possible causes. The first and less serious issue is that the power supply is not outputting the correct voltage. You can test the power supply with a voltage meter or you can always take the power supply to any electronics store and have it checked there. If it is not outputting the correct voltage (12VAC), contact our parts department for a new one at (978) 538-5136.

If the power supply is working properly, then your problem is most likely in the amplifier. In this case, we will need to fix your system here, and you can contact customer service at the above phone number to set this up.

3) If the system is connected properly and you have a green subwoofer light, disconnect the power supply from the wall for 10 minutes. This is a common problem on overloaded surge protectors. To many devices on the same surge protector can limit available power. Putting your speaker system on its own circuit (or a more dedicated one) should eliminate this problem.

4) Check the bass level on the back of your subwoofer, (or on your desktop control pod. For best subwoofer performance place the woofer on the floor along a wall or better still in a corner. This "corner loading" will increase bass output.

I have a set of Boston Diigital speakers BA735 that do not work on my new Dell computer . I have a set of cheap speakers that do work. whats wrong

Those Boston digital speakers were supplied with a few Dell models as part of a package. They need a digital input, and the Creative sound card supplied with those models had digital output. Your new Dell only has an analog output which isn't compatible. The speakers aren't seeing any input signal. If you want to keep those speakers, you'll either need to take the sound card from your old Dell (if you still have it) and install that in your new computer, or buy a sound card with digital output.

What kind of external power supply does the media speaker needs?

Juster-Avia 3D-107 Media speakers.

I wanted to know what kind of external power supply it needed. I open the case and saw 4 diodes which tells me is a bridge rectifier circuit. I also looked at the filter cap and saw ????uF at 28 volts. Therefor, I did the Scientific Wild *** Guess( A.K.A. SWAG METHOD)
12 volts AC out at 1.6 amps or higher.

Channel not working

If the Logitech Pulse 475 is the same as the Labtech Pulse 475 then the left channel amplifier probably blew. The Labtec uses a 5 pin TDA2030A, which costs around $3. You will need to know how to solder to repair this. The back of the case comes off by removing the 8 screws around the back of the case and lifting it out by the power cord. Then, simply desolder the left channel amplifier marked IC201 (it's on the leftmost side of the board, next to the volume potentiometer) and solder the new amplifier in it's place.
