Please try to un-install and re-install the driver for the touch-pad. if that doesn't work then you have a bad touch-pad and it needs to be replaced. or you can use a usb optical mouse instead. refer to local service tech for parts

Hi, to Enable the Pointer Device; go to, Control Panel, click (Mouse) in the Hardware and Sound category. Go to; Device Settings, in the (Devices) block, click on, and Highlight; the item you want to (enable) this being the Pointer Device. Click the Enable button, just below. Be sure to (Click) on the Apply button, click OK. You may need to Update Drivers. Click on Hardware, click Properties, click, on Driver. If the, Update Driver (block) is not Grayed-out click Update Driver, click (OK), this will ensure that the application take effect. Note: Restarting the computer will configure system changes in the computer applications to prevent errors, and to finalize the (Installing / Uninstalling) of programs, and or (Enabling / Disabling) of Hardware.
