Try changing the display settings of the XBOX 360 or the TV. Also make sure you possess the latest updates for the Media Center Edition:

Our XBOX 360 sometimes the games won't work and sometimes they do. Brand new games sometimes just won't play

This is a strange one sounds like you may be getting the start of the DVD sensors on the back of the drive overheating and once this happens it will not play your games however you only mention sometimes.

If it stops all together you will need to send it in or repair it yourself

The picture doesnt show but I hear the sound.

Don't worry the HD feed from the xbox 360 has a gain limiter
So the chances are more likely that either your Friends xbox has
the HD setting off or the TV has defaulted to standard video in.
If you get a black screen or a mesage that says no single .
But if your getting strange color on your set with the HD on
then we need to investigate this " Microsoft is liable!" for
damages caused by their console. Ill look in to this and
follow up. The xbox has broken connection under the poorly
soldered G.P.U. and will need to be re-flowed to the main
board to corrects this problem but that's a secondary priority
right now.

I'll check this out for you and follow up.

In-game graphic breakdown

Sounds like an issue with the graphics card in the system. Call up Xbox 360 Support, or return it for a new one.

Xbox 360 thinks it`s an Xbox and won`t register a 360 game

Strange Issue, but I think its a possible solution to it. I would say the drive and/or laser needs to be changed.

Xbox 360 Console, Faulty, NO DISPLAY!!??

What do you mean, no display? Is is game-related display issues? Have you checked the AV cable connection? Or is it about the settings? Is this the first time that you are going to connect your xbox console?

To determine whether the display issues are specific to a particular game, try playing a different game to see whether the same symptom occurs. Reminder, some Xbox original games that were released for the original Xbox console may show some display issues when you play them on the Xbox 360 console.

Next, make sure that AV cable is connected correctly to the Xbox 360 console and to the TV. To verify that the AV cable is connected correctly to the Xbox 360 console and to the TV, you can disconnect the AV cable and then reconnect the AV cable to both devices. Note: If you are using composite cables, do not try to set any HDTV settings. If you try to set HDTV settings, you may lose the picture.

You might also want to check your TV's settings because some display issues can be caused by how the TV is set up. To make sure that this is not the case, please check your TV's settings.

In your TV's settings, you should check the following:
- Make sure that your TV is set to the same video broadcast system as your Xbox 360 console (PAL or NTSC)
- If your Xbox 360 console is a PAL console, set your PAL settings to PAL 60
- If your TV has a type of picture compensation enabled, disable it
- If your TV's settings are correct, you may want to try using a different TV, if you have one available. Try connecting your Xbox 360 console to another TV to see whether the same display issues occur

Next, reset your Xbox 360 console. To reset the display settings to the default settings, follow these steps:
1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
2. Turn off the console.
3. Turn on the console.
4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time.

Xbox cant read disc

check and see if the disk is scratched. if there are scratches, follow these directions:

take your game disk and with Colgate (preferred) toothpaste (not gel, use the white thick stuff).

squeeze a small amount of toothpaste unto the disk's reflective surface (part with scratches) and smooth it on in a circular motion, applying more when necessary. you want to have it on at least a little bit thick, so it covers the whole surface. leave the toothpaste on for about 5 minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water, making sure all the toothpaste is off. You will likely still notice a few scratches but most will have disappeared.

stick your disk back into your 360 and load the game. with any luck it will load! =)

if this doesn't work, contact xbox customer support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX
