Question about Frigidaire Refrigerators

1 Answer

The light button on my 18 year old frigidaire fridge broke off and kept the light on. The inside was warm. I unscrewed the lamp but the unit doesn't seem to cool today. Should I just wait. The freezer seems ok. Does that light button control a fan too? freezer to fridge air?

Have fridge freezer 8 years old , lights work but warm inside and all food defrosted , is it worth getting fixed or shall I get knew one?

My advice would be to go for a new one as the product you are holding is more than 8 years old. Although, obviously new is going to be a little on the expensive side as compared to getting this one fixed but technology has moved a long way in the last 8 years. Thus, your current Freezer is going to consume more electricity and even after being repaired, the performance shall not be optimal. While, the new Refrigerator not only is going to be Lessen your electricity bill but shall be a better choice both in terms of Style, Structure, Optimization and Performance.

I have a Frigidaire FRC150FF fridge, the fridge light comes on but the fridge is warm. The frezzer compartment is working fine

How old is the fridge? Can you hear it running?
It could me many things. Could be anything from a dead compressor to a coolant leak.

Did someone change thermostat setting, maybe during a cleaning? There's a knob in the refrigerator section somewhere; see if it's turned to "Off" or to a less-than-cold setting.

If you hear the motor running, but it doesn't get cold, it probably doesn't have any refrigerant to compress. That could be recharged, but modern refrigerators are pretty tight, so that would also indicate a leak. With a leak, it will need recharging again sometime later.

We have an Surveyor house trailer 3 years old, lightly used. The last time we tried to use the fridge it didn't work. Mod#DM2652 Ser#81708076. Checked the outlet that it is plugged into, it works,...

Since your unit is an AC and Gas unit, you need to find out if it works on gas in order to make a good diagnosis.

But from your description, it sounds like your DC power is not at the unit.

Refrigerator not working blowing warm air

there is a control board located inside the lower left rear wall near the floor by the compressor end of unit, you will need to replace this board,a sign of this will be if you have heard a clicking sound from there and you have blown out light bulbs in the refrige section, and the temp indicators are out or dark, its easily replaced by unplugging old and plugging new board inside plastic box

Don't have the actual model but it is a Frigidaire side-by-side with seven buttons above the water despenser/icemaker. I do not know how to reduce the temperature in the fridge part although i have pressed...

the fridge: If your selector knob is changing the temp but not to your satisfaction, there are some vents you can check. one will pull the warm air out of the fridg and one delivers the conditioned air to the space. Both should be clear of dirt and obstrucions. The freezer is going to depend on the products that you keep in it. A good average for year round use is 20-25 degrees

Frigidaire Fridge/freezer works then doesn't work???

every 6-8 hrs your ref. goes into a defrost mode. sounds to me like your fridge is getting stuck in defrost, may want to replace defrost timer roughly 18-45.00 dollars depending were you live. also ive seen a few that the electrical cord in back were it goes into ref mid way up to the left behind cover can have some loose connections back their; remove panel covering and inspect. becuz if its the timer it wouldnt cause the light not to work so it may not be your timer if the light it turning off.also make sure your outlet is good and the prongs on power cord are not loose. hope this helps

If the defrost heating element, defrost timer or evaporater fan weren't working, you'd develop a block of ice on the evaporator. Is the compressor running? If it is, it might have bad valves from the frost buildup scenario. Liquid refrigerant could have gotten to the suction valves. The sealed system should have a five year warranty. Might be time to call a pro
