Generally the tuning option is found under menu. When upress menu button on remote, u will see many options find tuning orinstallation under it. under that option find auto tune/ asm/ auto channelpreset. then start tuning channels. This is an example, name of functions maybe deferent.

32 inch sharp aquos can't find any channels with rca amplified indoor antenna

That could be because the antenna is pointing in the wrong direction, or it's just not getting enough signal where it is in your home.

Have a look at neighbours antennae. See the direction they are pointing. Point yours in the same direction too.

Other causes: you are trying to tune the analog tuner rather than the digital tuner.

How do you set up an SP-813 indoor TV antenna?

There's not a lot to this antenna; nor much in the way of knowledge required to set it up. Connect a length of coax cable from the F type screw connector on the antenna. Connect the other end to your TVs antenna input. Plug in the power adapter. Switch on the antenna and set the gain adjuster to the half way position between min and max.

Now look at your neighbours properties. Which way are all their antenna pointing? Point yours in the same direction.

If you know what channel on the tuning scale the local TV stations use for broadcast then tune your TV manually. Then fine tune gain and direction of the antenna for best reception. If you don't know the tuning channel it's a bit more pot luck. Let the TV do an auto tuning and hope you have not too much or not too little gain and the antenna pointing in the right direction.

46xbr kdl hi for some reason my tv as froze on channel 44...it is set in the programs list and i cant remove it...

you could try returning in all of your channels from the main menu the tv can do this automatically but you need to select the procedure
1. click on the home button
2. scroll sideways till you reach settings
3. in settings scroll down or up and click on digital set-up (centre button of your scroll control)
4.then scroll down to, and click on digital auto tuning (centre button of your scroll control) this will activate automatic channel tuning the tv will do the rest and will wipe out old settings and retune in all channels

I have a LG plasma 42PC5D , and for some reason there is no volume on channel 73mate, what can i do to fix this. Adrian

If you have no sound on one channel only, possibly the tuning memory data for that channel has been corrupted eg possible lightning spike whilst watching that channel?. Two possible easy solutions to try :- 1/ Unplug the set FROM THE WALL say when you go to bed overnight. This may clear the glitch.
2/ Select menu on the remotecontrol, find and select setup and from there, select the the auto tuning menu. This will take several minutes to retune all the stations in your area and will clear any possible data corruption. If this does not work you should contact a repairer.

Picture goes in and out

Hello,
This will require you opening the back cover of the television to test some component with the use of an ohmmeter.
This may be a slight drift - like someone is messing with the fine tuning
or such a substantial change in tuning frequency that the channels go by
as though you are surfing.

Possible causes depend on tuner type:

1. Quartz tuner (10 button direct access digital synthesizer) - For a
slight drift, a component is probably changing value, possibly the
crystal in the reference oscillator. For gross changes - flipping
through channels - it is more likely to be a digital control problem -
the microcontroller is misdirecting the synthesizer to change frequency.

2. Varactor tuner (buttons but not direct channel access) - If only a
single pushbutton selection is the problem, the the varactor tuning diode
for that button is probably changing capacitance. If all channels in
a band (Vl, Vh, U) are having a problem, it is more likely to be a
drifting D/A or faulty AFT (Automatic Fine Tuning) circuit or power supply.

3. Turret or switch tuner (Knobs) - A component like a capacitor is changing
value.

You will have to get in there with a heat gun or cold spray and track it down
the old fashioned way. At least, the problem is almost certainly localized
to the tuner box (and possibly the controller if applicable).

As noted, gradual slight changes in tuning are likely due to frequency
determining components drifting.

Uncontrolled channel surfing is probably a logic problem. For the
quartz tuner, this could still be marginal connections causing the
microprocessor to misdirect the synthesizer to change channels.

For the latter case, particularly, the cause may still be bad connections
resulting in loss of channel memory and/or erratic behavior.
Take care...
