Re: What DHCP capability does the P310 support?

The Prestige 310 supports DHCP client on the WAN port and DHCP server on the LAN port. The Prestige's DHCP client allows it to get the Internet IP address from ISP automatically. The Prestige's DHCP server allows it to automatically assign IP and DNS addresses to the clients on the local LAN.

How can i change my dlink model dir 615-4 to simple access point to use with truecafe softwrae

I believe you need a router with AOSS capability, i.e. it has to have a button labeled "AOSS" that you can push to make the router act as an access point. I think the D-Link DLR 615 router does not have that capability, but please check.

Hope this helps.

How to connect my Linksys router with my wi tribe modem?? my laptop pick up the wireless signal and can connect,,it says "connected" but when you open a page it says either "invalid server...

The Linksys Wireless router is fine, but your latop is not configured for DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). The computer is connected to the router at layer 2, whereas HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), sits
atop the TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) layer, and seems to be trying to
query the ISP's (Internet Service Provider) network for a nameserver (via DNS (Dynamic Name Service) protocol) that doesn't exist on the ISP's network. Configuring the laptop for DHCP and specifying no nameserver will fix this (the ISP's network will dynamically assign a DNS).

Its also possible (though a remote possibility) that your Linksys wifi router may be configured to disallow TCP/IP virtual circuits to/from your computer's IP address - but this is a really advanced
capability of your Linksys wifi router - few know this capability even exists.

Connecting multiple wifi devices to the Linksys router should be no problem, just configure them all to interact with the router using DHCP.

How to assign static IP address to HP LaserJet P2035n

Plug the printer to a DHCP capable LAN. Give it a moment to connect. While the printer is on, hold down both, the feed and X buttons on top of the printer. It will print out a configuration page with the DHCP address. Type that address in a web browser. Click the network tab. Select manual address; then type the address you want. Then click save. DONE

Xbox 360

Either the network connection between the 360 and router is not working correctly, or your router is not configured properly for DHCP.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a protocol that automatically assigns a network address (and some other settings) to your computer....or Xbox in this case. It works like this....when your Xbox connects to the network, it sends out a broadcast packet on the network that looks for a DHCP server. If a DHCP server is present, it responds. Next the Xbox requests its network address and other settings from the DHCP server. Your WGR614 router has a DHCP server function built in, but it may not be enabled. Try reconfiguring the router using the Netgear "Smart Wizard" installation CD and be sure to enable the DHCP capability, if asked.

What do I need to use the P310?

You need a ADSL modem or cable modem with an Ethernet port to use the P310. The P310 has two Ethernet ports: LAN port and WAN port. You should connect the computer to the LAN port and connect the external modem to the WAN port. If the ISP uses PPPoE or RoadRunner Authentication you need the user account to enter in the P310.
