Cleaning the Interior Dishwasher

I notice that the interior of my 2 yr. old machine is no longer clean and shiny. There is some brownish residue on the drain filter and along the interior edge of the door.
What is the best and safest way to keep the machine interior clean?

How do I clean the stainless steel interior of my electrolux icon microwave

Hello - Interior cleaning after convection, mix or broil cooking:

Spatters may occur because of moisture and grease. Wash immediately after use with hot, soapy water. Rinse and polish dry. Harder to remove spatters may occur if oven is not thoroughly cleaned or if there is long time/high temperature cooking. If so, you may wish to purchase an oven cleaner pad with liquid cleaner within it-not a soap filled steel pad-for use on stainlessor porcelain surfaces. Follow manufacturer's directions carefully and be especially cautious not to get any of the liquid cleaner in the perforations on the wall or ceiling or any door surfaces. Rinse thoroughly and polish dry. After cleaning the interior thoroughly, residual grease may be removed from the interior ducts and heater by simply operating the oven on 450 F for 20 minutes without food. Ventilate the room if necessary.

Interior cleaning after microwave cooking:

Cleaning is easy because no heat is generated to the interior surfaces; therefore, there is no baking and setting of spills or spattering. To clean the interior surfaces, wipe with a soft cloth and warm water. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE OR HARSH CLEANERS OR SCOURING PADS. For heavier soil, use baking soda or a mild soap; rinse thoroughly with hot water. NEVER SPRAY OVEN CLEANERS DIRECTLY ONTO ANY PART OF THE CONVECTION MICROWAVE OVEN.

My black crockpot has white stain all inside of it ive tried bleach, vinager, comet and plain old elbow grease, nothing works. Any ideas?

Does it appear that the enamel is worn away and the stain is embedded into the underlying ceramic?

If not, here's a crazy thought for a solution that just might work: Oxiclean. It's safe to put in your dishwasher, and it certainly does a stellar job of getting stains out of practically anything. It works best in warm to hot (but not boiling water), so a scoop in a crock pot full of water set to low for an hour or two may just do the trick. If not, I doubt anything will. Be sure to rinse it thoroughly after cleaning. If you've used Oxiclean before, you know how slick the residue can be.

Hope this helps!

My dishes are no longer getting clean. Is it

Hello Sue. There are a few things you can do. let's begin by giving the interior of your dishwasher a good cleaning. To do this, with an empty dishwasher, toss in 2 cups of vinegar and then run your longest and hottest wash cycle. Repeat monthly.

Next, consider changing your detergent over to a product like Electrasol Dishwasher Detergent with Powerball Tabs. That product gets the highest marks from my customers.

Finally, always run the hot water into the sink until it reaches max. temp. before you start the dishwasher. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

My grill will no longer lights all three rows. I

My Weber is almost as old as yours and I had a similar problem. I removed the grates and cleaned the inside and checked the holes along the sides of the burners. The burners tend to build up cooking residue along the edge a restrict the gas flow. Try an aggreesive cleaning of the interior.

Interior lights not working on Samsung Refrigeration.

My samsung rf265ab did the same thing after I was cleaning it and the door was open for an extended time. I noticed the the light bulbs looked good and also notice 2 tiny black buttons between the light bulbs. They were slightly extended. I pushed both in and when I opened the fridge again the lights were working. Don't know if I fixed it or just a coincidence.

Residue of dood, spices on dishes after cleaning

I would suggest calling whirlpool to have a tech come out and look at it. Your appliance is still under warranty if it is under 1 yr old. It will cover parts and labor.
