After a load is finished and the light is green on clean, the dishwasher wont reset to start a new load. If I keep pushing buttons I might get lucky and it resets and starts washing. Can you help me or give me an idea of what the problem might be.

The clean light usually will blink due to a failure to heat the water properly. This dishwasher looks for a temperature rise of the water during a heating cycle if it fails to see this rise for multiple cycles it may shut down and blink the clean light.
There are a few things to check before resetting the control.
-The unit not being level so both door switches do not make contact
- The sump plugged up so water is not pumping across the heater (see sump clean out below)
- Not enough water filling the dishwasher
- The heat element is not working
To reset the control use this key dance within 5 seconds press: HEATED DRY, NORMAL, HEATED DRY, NORMAL
This will cause you to enter the diagnosis cycle once this is finished or you hit cancel the control should be unlocked and ready to use.
That signals an issue with a faulty heater &/or heater drive circuit. (that info comes from their troubleshooting guide) I ran into it this weekend and discovered that the heater coil in the bottom of the washer was broken.
your computer has detected a problem , most likely with the water heating. its locked up. Try pushing the high tem wash buton and then the energy saver button , push them back and fourth a few times(some modles its 2 other buttons) This should actavate a service check cycle where all the lights go on. Let it do its thing, and cancle after a few mins. if it locks up again you need service.
I would assume that in the last year you've either fixed the washer or have gotten a new one. If your curious, this is probably the solution. There's a plastic piece that pushed a button when you open the latch and resets the washer. The piece is probably broken. If you remove the screws on the top of the door, you can reach in and manually push the button. You can also tape some metal into the end of the plastic piece so it will still push the button. A flattened bottle cap will work.
