Question about Dell Dimension E510 PC Desktop
I am having some issues with my dell e510, it wont start. I had it in storage for about 3 months, and when i got it out it would not start. All i get is a flashing yellow LED on the front of the tower. After fidling around i was able to get started...only once...then i turned it off to move it into my room and it did the same thing...i have replaced the power supply to no avail. any assistance would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
An Amber blinking power button indicates a low voltage problem. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Since you replaced the power supply, my guess is that the motherboard has a problem.
Just to make sure that nothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables to CD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.
