Question about GE DVL223GB Gas Dryer
If the dryer does not make any noise, the most likely cause is a broken belt (WE12M29 for a DBXR463EB1). If the belt breaks, there is a switch near the belt tension arm that cuts power to the dryer so the dryer will not heat without the motor running. (UL requirement) If belt is OK there are host of other potential electrical areas to check, so then better call a service tech.

Tips for a great answer:

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.
