Please hold the Fn Key and press the F6 Key to decrease the brightness/ press the F7 Key to increase the brightness.

Use FN F7 to increase brightness and FN F6 to decrease brightness!


If you have re installed the OS, you may be missing your function button drivers.
You can alter this thru display settings and power options (control panel)

How to adjust screen brightness on Toshiba Satellite 1005-S157


You can adjust the the screen brightness by hold down the FN key and hitting F6 or F7. F6 will decrease the brightness and F7 will increase the brightness.

Take out fan from CPU. test it using external power Batt 5v. if its works, its could be your motherboard going to spoilt soon..

There are many variations of the Satellite L10, most of them come with XP, but in most machines the the graphics are Intel 852GM.

Hi. According to the user manual, the Fn + Esc (key)displays the screen brightness pop-up window which are: super bright; bright and semi bright.
