My router workd for 24 hour, and then stop woking , but the internet LED stell on?

Turn the modem and router off. Turn the modem on and let it cycle up for about a minute or two, then plug the router in and let it cycle up.

If you turn the system off at night or if a power outage in the house occurs then when things are turned back on both the modem and router starts cycling up. If the router finishes cycling up before the modem, you will have connection problems.

Unable to connect to internet through Linksys WRT160N router. Can unplug it and internet is fine. Tried power cycling the modem and router. Linksys comes up with all lights flashing and will not...

If I understand your problem correctly, you are able to connect to the Internet when you hook the computer directly to the modem, but not when the router is connected to the modem.
If this is the case, then you need to do a power drain on the modem. Power cycling the modem is not enough to clear the NVRAM of the MAC address of your computer. You have to unplug the power cord of the modem for 15 to 20 minutes in order for the NVRAM to reset and allow the modem to recognize the MAC address of the router.
After the modem has been unplugged for 15 to 20 minutes, disconnect the power cable from the router and then connect router to the modem using the Ethernet cable.
Next with the router power cord still disconnected, plug in the power cord of the modem and allow the modem to sync to the network.
Once the modem is finished with its start-up, plug-in the power cord of the router and let it sync to the network.
After the modem has completed its start-up, it should now be connected to the internet.
Good Luck

No wireless service from Cisco wrt54g2 and Arris cable modem

You can follow steps to configure your router with cable modem

physical connection Modem and Router to the PC
First check that you can go online with cable modom, the next step is to connect the modem to the router and the router to the PC. The modem will attach to the router's Internet Port. You will then attach the router to the PC via any of the four Ethernet ports in the rear. Check the LED lights in the front of the router to confirm all of the connections are properly made. The Power, WLAN, Ethernet Port to PC and the Internet should all be lit.
Configure Router
With all connection made, you will now need to login to the router via your web browser. Type and hit enter. You should see the login screen. Leave the username blank and type admin as the password and hit enter.
You will now need to configure the router's connection to the Internet. Under the Setup / Basic Setup section, make sure the router is setup to Automatic Configuration - DHCP. This allows the router to receive an IP address from your Internet Service Provider.
Next, go to the MAC Address Clone tab in the same area and enable Mac Address Cloning. This allows the router to clone your PCs MAC address, as the ISP may require this.
Power Cycle the Modem and Router
Now that everything is configured, you'll want to power cycle everything. This is done to make sure everything has an IP address from the modem all the way through to the PC. To power cycle, shutdown everything. Unplug the modem and router power source. Shutdown the computer. Plug in the modem and wait for all green lights. Next, plug in the router and wait a few minutes until its lights are also green. Lastly, boot up the PC. You should have an Internet connection.
Please rate the service if issue resolved

I have been using my DI-524 for about two years now without problems. I went away on vacation, left my computer and routers running and now when I get home I cannot connect nor see the wireless connection...

When you say your rebooted the modem and router, do you mean you power cycled them both? If you're unfamiliar with power cycling, this the technique:
1) Unplug your main Cable or DSL line from your modem.
2) Unplug the power from the modem.
3) Unplug the power from the router.
4) Wait about 20 seconds.
5) Plug the Cable or DSL line into the modem.
6) Plug the power into the modem.
7) Plug the power into the router.

Make sure that all computers are shut down and completely off. After you have power cycled, reboot the computer(s). If you still do not see the SSID (the name of the network), then someone probably hacked into your router and changed the password. Here's how to overcome that:

1) Unplug the power from the router.
2) Press and hold the Reset button on the router for at least 30 seconds.

3) Plug the power into the router.
4) Open an internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.).
5) Type in the IP address of your router. For this router the IP address should be
6) You should be at a login window. The User Name is admin and leave the password blank.
7) You should now be in your router's configuration options. You should enable the highest security possible, then change the default User Name and Password to something secure, with letters and numbers.

My information for you router came from this link:

Im trying to connect my ps3 to my wireless router. it has recently stopped working. is there anything i can do?

Sure! Try this:
1 Turn your network off. Modem router, computer, printers etc. turn them off.
2. Leaving the wireless router connected to the modem with an ethernet cable (modem power off) , turn your wifi router on and let it cycle up.
3. After the router is cycled up, turn power on to your modem , leaving the ethernet cable connected to the wifi router's internet port. Let the modem cycle up .
4. After this, turn on all computers, routers and etc... no particular order.
This should allow your modem to find the wifi router and direct it to your computer via wifi or ethernet..

How do i set up without the installation cd

Try this after you've pressed the small reset button on your router follow this procedure:
  1. Turn off your modem, routers, computer, and wifi receivers, and laptops and printers on the network.
  2. Connect the Wifi router with an internet cable to the modem. The router will have an internet input port (ethernet) that should be labeled differrent than the rest of the ethernet ports on the router. Plug the ethernet into the internet or modem port on the router, and to the modem...DON'T TURN THE MODEM ON YET.
  3. Turn your router's power on and let it cycle up.
  4. Then after the router is up, turn on your modem and let it cycle up. It will find your router as the main MAC address and this will establish communication between router and the internet via modem.
  5. After your modem is cycled and all lights are correct, you can turn on any computer, printer etc... and the router will assign MAC addresses to your printer etc while maintaining a proper internet connection.
that's all you should need...Since you already have a working modem to pc... remember this "firing order" and if you have a power outage or have to move again, you'll be good to go.

Router will not receive an ip address. have to

You need to hard reset the router first by pressing the reset button at the back of it for 30 sec. Then do a power cycle. Unplug the power to the router first then the modem. Make sure the modem is plugged in to the Internet/WAN port and your PC to port 1 of the router. After 1 min power on the modem first then wait for the lights to go solid, then power on the router. If you still you don't have internet, you need to perform MAC Address Cloning. Open the router's Setup Page and look for MAC Address Clone feature, enable it and save. Perform a power cycle again. That should do it.

My modem works fine when i directly connect 2 the CPU,and when i use the router and connect it don't work........the power, wirless,LAN,are all green and the intenet(Modem) is plz =/

If your with cable ISP you need to mac clone the mac address of the pc to the router.
1.make sure that everything is connected properly (modem to internet port of the router and pc to regular port)
2.access the router, (username: admin / password: password)
3.under basic settings page, scroll down to the bottom and look for router mac address and select Use Computer MAC Address and then hit apply the router status on the left pane and check if there's an IP under internet port, if yes it should be working and if not you need to power cycle the network
5. to power cycle, turn off the router and modem for 3 minutes and then turn on the modem first and then the router should work now

Cant connect!

- Try to power cycle the Motorola modem and the router for 5 minutes.
- After 5, turn On first the modem, make sure all the lights of the modem are stable before plug in the router.
- If this procedure doesn't work then I suggest that you might need to update the firmware of your router.
