Question about Microsoft Windows Server Standard 2003 for PC
Aug. 8 I changed my password on a friend's computer. Since I got home, my computer keeps asking me to type in the password each time I go on line. I would like for my computer to store my new changed password and to remember it so I don't have to type it in each time I go on line!
My computer also has been very slow getting on line, and most times, acts like its frozen most of the time, to where I have to shut it down only by unplugging it.
I hope you can help. Thanks, Kay
The browser/anti-virus programs have nothing to do with your password. Go to Start>Control Panel>Users and you will see the options for changing the password, picture, permissions. Yours is a server operating system and requires a password. Servers are all about security. If you have forgotten your password you will have to boot to the cd and follow the prompts for the Windows password, boot to the Setup for the machine's password. Steve Medley
