I was hoping to find a resolution to the same problem but am just finding others asking for answers to fix it. Ive called the manutacture (ZTE) and Metro PCS. No one know how to fix it! I am heading to the Metro PCS store later to see what they can do.

To load ring-tones someone has to either email it to you or send it through your blue-tooth. Yes I'm like the rest of you. Metro pcmess made all this sound good but if I would have known I was gonna have as much trouble with this phone I would have never switched this is my forth replacement. But like they say everything that sounds good ain't always good for you, and Metro pcmess has proven that. When I plug my usb cord it don't show and I can't down load to my mp3 player, sometime my phone just locks up for no reason, I get alot of no support files can anyone help with that

When you plug in the usb cord somtimes i'll get a box asking what i want to use windows media player or open a folder with the contense. Then some times i get the add new hardware wizard which doesnot find the program to run the hardware correctly.
so the only way i found to load mp3s onto the ZTE C79 is to get a micro sd car and reader. when i plug i in a box comes up with the same results windows media player or a folder option i click the folder option. and if you have mp3s in your windows media player then right click on a song and open file location it will then tell you wether they are mp3 format or wahat drag and drop the mp3 format songs into the my music folder which is in the removable disk folder . As long as they are mp3 they will play on the phone. as for ringtones the only way i found to load them is to actually record them with the record memo tool in tools. which sucks because they usually end up being all distorted or very low volume. So if anyone know how to load ringtones please let me know

Lost software

of course you have to secure a installer disk even if you lose it.... And also you can download a Software Installation from your MP3 Website..
Theres a lot of MP3 are not using a program on its own to upload and download a mp3 files in your MP3 player.
But if you can download your mp3 files without using a program of your mp3 player and then you can play it... Its ok...! Good luck!

Not able to add pics

Pictures can be uploaded to you MP3 player using the Media Manager software on the Software Application provided for your MP3 player. Once the software is installed, go to the Start menu on your computer then under Programs to MP3 Player Utilities and select Media Manager. Your MP3 player must be in USB Disk mode before transferring pictures.

I need file transfer help

copy the mp3 file to pc and connect your sony walkman phone via usb, make sure you have the cellphone's software installed on your pc so that you can transfer files to your phone, this contains a phone browser that enables you to copy and paste songs to your cellphone. just copy the mp3 files using the browser.

Connect MP3 player to cellphone

Can you be more specific:

Are you trying to play the cellphone through the MP3 player,
or vice versa.

If your goal is simply to transfer jingles and tunes, the best
way to do this is to use a computer. The Motorola phone has
USB and Bluetooth connectivity, see:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_RAZR_V3

With the right software, you should be able to transfer
songs and jingles between your PC and the computer.
(Check Motorola for downloads)

The same is true for the MP3 Player.

The only glitch you may find is the compatibility of
the two devices' media file structures.

You may need to download two separate audio file
converters:

Cellphone <==> Windows WAV format
MP3 player <==> Windows WAV format

Finally either (or both) devices may have built-in DRM
(Digital Rights Management) copy protection,
so you may need to download some hacker/ripper
software to recover the original audio.

Google for copy protection by brand name.

Hope this sends you in the right direction.
