Connect your speaker unit to the sound card on your computer. Usually all you need to do is match up the color of the jack on the speaker cable to the color of the input on the sound card.
Try the green or black input on the sound card.
visit the link below:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo...
and follow the steps.
Can you please provide more details about your computer(model name, operating system..)?
Try connecting your Speakers to another PC to see if it works.
You need to check if the sound driver is working propely
Check that your webcam is listed in Device Manager.
Do one of the following:
Windows 7: Click the Windows button and select Control Panel. Click Hardware and Sound and under Devices and Printers select Device Manager. Click the little arrow beside Sound, video and game controllers.
Windows Vista: Open the Start menu and select Control Panel. Open System and Maintenance and click Device Manager.
Windows XP:Open the Start menu and select Control Panel. Open System and in the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
UnderSound, video and game controllers, check that you sound card is listed.
If it's not listed, reinstall the drivers for your sound card.
Sorry i meant the sound card(not webcam)
Make sure the wall power outlet or power strip has power. The outlet can be checked with a lamp or some other appliance. If the power strip has a switch, make sure it is turned on.Test the unit by pulling
out the audio cable that is connected to the computer and connecting it to an alternate audio source such as a portable CD or mp3 player.
Turn the volume up on the sub woofer .Switch from input #1 to input #2
If the speakers work with the Ipod, chances are the sound card is defective.
Try reseating your sound card ..Shut down the computer.
Unplug machine from the surge protector.
Disconnect all peripherals from the computer.
Remove the cover of the chassis and lay computer on its side if it is a tower.
Ground yourself to the computer. If you have a grounding strap, put it on and follow its directions. Otherwise, ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis.
Remove the back panel, if necessary.
Locate the existing sound card . If it is screwed in on the side of the slot hole, unscrew it and pull the card out firmly.Knock out or unscrew the metal plate on the card's slot holder on the back panel.
Re-Insert the sound card gently but firmly into the slot. Rock it into position if necessary, but don't force it. Don't touch any connectors on the card.Screw sound card into slot holder if it has a screw hole.
Reconnect monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Connect speakers to the sound card's ports.
Turn on the speakers and restart the computer.
Warning:
Be careful not to touch any connectors (chips). Touch as little as possible on the sound card or inside your machine.
If your computer is under a manufacturer's warranty, modifying the product usually ends that warranty.
Your computer's sound card is built onto the motherboard..You will need to purchase a new sound card.
Yes.
Install the new sound card in an empty PCI slot. (There should be several whitish slots running down your motherboard possibly with modems, and other cards installed.)
Here is how to install a sound card >>http://www.buildeasypc.com/hw/howto/inst...
Typically, this is done by disabling the on-board sound card within the CMOS (also referred to as the BIOS). The CMOS is instantiated by pressing the DEL or F2 key (or some other combination) as soon as you turn your computer.Once you are inside the CMOS menu, you may need to go into every sub-menu and look for an option that pertains to your on-board sound(devices), and then disable it. Once that's finished, exit the CMOS (saving changes), wait for the computer to reboot, and then power down; insert your new sound card in the PCI slot and power on the computer... boot into Windows and the new sound card should be detected. The old one will no longer appear under Device Manager.

Do you have the exact model number? Depending on the model. You may need to plug some of the cables into the sub woofer from the speakers and one cable will most likely go from the sub to the pc. If you give me the exact model I can give you more specific instructions.
Thank you,
Lee
Here is a link to the user manual. I will assume it is the asc45.1 not the asc45.2 but I will give you both links just in case:
Page 3 of this manual shows you how to hook it up:

Here is the manual for the asc45.2 in case you have the newer model:

Thank you,
Lee
did you plug it into the correct plug on the computer? It should be the lime green one?
Thanks,
Lee
The light should tell you the system is on. turn it on and off by holding both volume buttons at the same time. Are you sure you have all the connections correct? have you double checked them? Do you possibly have a simpler pair of speakers to isolate the problem as being with the speakers or with the computer?
Thanks,
Lee
You may want to disconnect everything and reconnect it to ensure tight connections everywhere. Do you have the 45.1 version or the 45.2? You may want to try plugging it directly into the wall if your plugging it into a power strip currently. You may want to borrow some speakers from someone to test it out. If you have a pair of headphones even try plugging those into the output your using for the speakers on the PC and see if your getting sound in the headphones.
Thank you,
Lee
Ok what operating system are you using? Go to the lower right of your task bar and look for the little speaker icon, right click it and select open volume control and make sure all your levels are up and not muted.
Thank you,
Lee
are there connectors on the front for audio? Look for a headphone/line out jack on the front and see if that works. If your not getting sound from even headphones then it may be an issue with the computer.
Thank you,
Lee
Follow these step by step troubleshooting steps on this page:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...
Beyond that I would need to physically be by the computer to troubleshoot any further as with all of this troubleshooting the problem should be resolved or at least isolated.
Thank you,
Lee

Hi there.
Please see the illustration below for the installation guide:
Please make the following checks:
•Make sure all connecting plugs between the satellite
speakers, subwoofer (if applicable) and computer are fully
seated.
•Make sure the wall power outlet or power strip has power.
The outlet can be checked with a lamp or some other
appliance. If the power strip has a switch make sure it is
turned on.
•Make sure the power switches on the satellites and
subwoofer (if applicable) are turned on.
•It is possible to test the unit by pulling out the audio cable
that is connected to the computer and connecting it to an
alternate audio source such as a portable CD player.
•When the unit is operative, vibrations from the
speaker sound can cause other loose objects to
vibrate. These extraneous vibrations may lead to the
erroneous conclusion that the speakers are defective.
In most instances, removing the vibrating object cures
the problem.
Let me know what happens.
Hi there. My comment counter is ticking but for some reason I dont see your comment. Please write that one more time. thank you.
What about your pc alone? Try plugging in a headset and see if sounds come out. Also, go to CONTROL PANEL - SOUNDS and AUDIO DEVICES. Make sure that mute box in unticked and volume is up.
Okay. Let see if your pc's audio is working. Go to START - right click MY COMPUTER - PROPERTIES - HARDWARE - DEVICE MANAGER - SOUND VIDEO GAME CONTROLLERS. See if this has a yellow exclamation mark. IF it has, you need to reinstall the driver for it.
Go to Choose Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Playback tab.
Click the Configure tab and change the default 2 speakers to your speaker configuration 4 or 5.1 or 7.1 etc. Also, make sure that you insert the speaker or headset connector all the way in, wiggle it a bit. Might be a loosing audio jack. You might also want to check if there is a latest driver available for your audio card.
can you try the headset and the speaker with another computer? If they work, your audio jack can be defective. You may want to uninstall and re install the audio driver from DEVICE MANAGER

Roy
Thanks Lee but still no sound. The right speaker green light is on and I made sure the volume is up and that the mute is not on.
Roy
Yes
Yes. Also, the green light on the right speaker is no longer lit?
Nothing happens when I hold both volume buttons down. I do not have any other speakers. The connections are correct. The speakers worked fine before I disconnected them for my move.
I plugged headphones into the lime green jack on the computer and am not getting any sound?
Windows 7
Sound shows movement-not muted
There are no connectors on the front of the computer
I am tired and will try again tomorow
Thanks
Still no luck.

I can't get any volume on my pc. I have been working with Lee
Roy
My speakers have no volume. I have been working with Lee but we haven't solved the problem
Roy
The headset doesn't work. I tried the control panel options.
I did this . All Ok
There are no options to change the configuration. Test gives me a small rumbling out of each speaker
I do not have access to another computer. When you say audio jack do you mean the sound card.?
I am still waiting for someone to get back to me

I have them hooked up OK except that input 1 & 2 are reversed from the diagram. I have the jack in input 1. The green light is not going on when I try to turn it on. Even when the green light is lit O still get no sound. My headphone does not work either when plugged into the output (lime) jack in back of the pc.
Roy
Thanks but I already did all of this
Roy
I have tried all of this previously
I don't have another pc. Does the fact that the headphone doesn't work when connected to the lime outout jack tell me that the sound card is defective?
I don't have a webcam?
The sound card is listed.
The green light on the speaker does not light. Occasionaly it does but there is stii no sound.
Roy
Good idea.
I connected to my Ipod and still no sound. No green light on speaker. Can't turn on.
The green light on the speaker is now on but still no sound.
My apologies. The speakers work with my Ipod. I had the volume too low to hear anything.
Still no volume. The green light does not go on although it did with my Ipod.
I took the cover off. Instead of a sound card there appears to be a little metal box which is attached to the motherboard.
Can a new sound card fit any slot?
I bought a new sound card. The booklet tells me I must disable the old sound device since it is built into the motherboard. Do you know how I do this.
Thanks
Roy
