When I converted to natural gas from LP, I was reconnecting a bolt to one of my side burners and overturned it and in turn it broke off. I have not been able to find this part for three years now. The bolt in question is made part of the aluminum tube which connects to one of my side burners. I have a picture of the part and the part does not show up in the list of parts in the manual for model E57LK60ESS. Please help

Convert LP Lincoln oven Impinger II series 1700 to natural gas series 1600

Yes. You need a set of natural gas orifices to replace the LP ones on the oven and all the burners too.

Changing your gas appliance from natural gas to LP or vice versa.

You have an LP gas stove which you really like and would like to take to a new home but the new home has a natural gas hookup. Since natural gas is already available it would be convenient to be able to use it. Can you convert your unit over to work on natural gas?

Yes it is possible to convert any LP gas appliance to natural gas or from natural gas to LP. The only difference is the size of the orifice used in the burner.

LP gas is composed of a much larger molecule than natural gas and requires a larger orifice to output the same amount of gas as a natural gas unit at the same setting. Therefore if you used an LP stove on natural gas it would produce too much heat and burn rather intensely. If you used a natural gas stove on LP it would not have much flame at all. You can see the problem. The solution is also obvious. You need the correct orifice.

Changing the orifice is easy. It is located in the middle of the burner and unscrews out of the unit. Install the new one the opposite way. Do not overtighten it.Usually the burners are made of soft metal and can strip easily.

The parts you would need are available at most good appliance stores but I would recommend the following site http://www.repairclinic.com . The parts will be cheaper at repairclinic. They have parts for almost any brand and a great search engine. They also have excellent videos showing how to make the repair.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

I would like to convert a grill that was used on natural gas back to propane. Can I just purchase a regulator and hose and be good, or do I need to change anything else on the grill?

Burner orifices must be resized or adjusted to accommodate higher pressure LP.
Air shutters should be opened all the way to allow maximum air to gas ration.

In side the stove is all black how to change natural gas to propane

Not sure on which way your model is so in general on gas there are two ways to convert natural to LP gas , first you have to reverse the cap in the pressure regulator by screwing it out reversing it and screwing it in(long stem). Second you have to turn down the spuds which usually require a !/2 inch wrench to tighten down about one to two turns until snug.(do not overtighten which crushes) One spud for the bake will be found at the base of the burner assemble in the air shutter area, usually the top of the gas valve. There is one spud for each top burner, or newer units have orfices to change instead. Turn off gas and unplug before starting. Reason for this is natural gas operates at about 3.5 wci while LP gas pressure is about 9 to 11 wci. To repeat turn of gas and unplug before starting......

How do i change from lp gas to natural gas on wall oven

First thing you will need to do is find out from the manufacturer of the oven if there is a conversion kit available and if the appliance is convertable. If there is then you can order the kit and follow the installation instructions. Also check the back of the oven for an envelope that may contain the gas orfice replacement heads to convert the appliance to natural gas. If you find the replacement orfice then you will need to remove the lp orfice from the burner and install the natural one. Then the appliance gas regulator will need to have the pressure adjusted lower for natural gas. There is usually a removable cap on top of the regulator on the oven. When you remove this cap there is usually a small metal ring that you can remove and flip over. It will say "nat" on one side and "lp" on the other. You will need to turn this ring over and re-insert so it displays "nat". This will change the gas pressure from 13 inches W.C. to 4 inches W.C. Some appliances only require the orfice change and no regulator adjustment but make sure that is the case with your oven because if you feed 13 inches W.C. pressure to a burner with a natural gas orfice...YOU WILL GET A HUGE BURNER FLAME AND MAY BURN/FLASH YOURSELF...So use extreme caution when converting a gas appliance. And if the oven has a pilot you will need to adjust the pilot pressure or change it's orfice if it has one. If it is electronic ignition no adjustment to that will be needed. Also unplug the electrical power the the unit while working on it.
