On your laptop you have to change the mode of connection on the bottom of the laptop screen. On the bottom there should be an option where you can change from LAN to WLAN.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Cant connect to a new labtop

1, You should always secure your Wireless. 2, try different channels, setup the dual-bands as 2 SSID, 1-2.4 and the other as 5.0 with diferent channels. I would suspect it's the laptop, Disable the UAC and the Anti Virus. Is the wireless adapter, on the laptop turned on? Do you see the Wireless listed in Available Wireless Networks? For dual-band setup :http://www.pcworld.com/article/229521/dlink_setup_a_wireless_router.html

Is there any other computer online through the same router. If that computer is online then check the settings of the laptop. Check whether it is connected to the network or not ?
If there is no other computer, then connect your computer to the router and check whether it goes online with the cable connection. If the cable connection works then open the set up of the router and check the wireless settings of the router.

Try changing channels on your wireless router. Routers have configuration page where you can change the channel. Refer to your user manual on how to change the channel on the device.

You may also try moving the router to a different location or maybe on a higher location. To avoid interference.
