I purchased the Edgemont model 557-268 which has LED. At the time
of viewing other models were all lit so we didnt realize that thie model
would be so dim. We already installed, and not quite sure what to do.
Can we purchase a higher plate?
Thanks

You have a dangerous electrical situation call an electritian to test the wiring.

slightly misaligned (dim or flashing LED).
Tweak the sensors to make sure they are pointed at one another and both lights are lit and not flickering. If your opener is working okay then you may just need to unplug it for about 5 minutes and it should reset so the blinking light quits.

also have the edgemont with LED light plate; it gives off a useless amount of light.
I just had this same light/fan installed by a pro today and I am very upset at the lowe dose of light . . .I have no clue what to do! I want to convert it to a regular kit - but dont know how! And the pro is about to do it for free!
someone should post how to find a brigght light kit! Anyone know?
I just purchased and installed the edgemont 52 inch fan and have a similar problem. Has anybody solved the problem with the useless light it has?
Several reviews at the Home Depot website state that there is no other light option for this fan. Also, do not install a remote with this fan. It causes the light to blink every 5 seconds while the fan is on.
My fan's light output is so poor that I rechecked the installation. Verified that the LED light kit is indeed receiving 24V, so nothing's wrong with its power supply. At that point I went to the Net and found a number of identical comments on this subject. As of today, no good solutions...
