Panasonic 51'' HDTV Model PT51HX42F - Turns off, light blinks 3 times, pauses, blinks 3 times again, etc.

the 3 blinks is caused by convergence failure indicating the Convergence ICs and resistors need replacement. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the ICs and resistors and also has the CD that shows how to do the repair.

Panasonic pt53wx53 led blinks once

unplug the set---where smoke something has burned.

I would with back off have a look---look at high voltage transformer and that area of board and pay special attention to C509 (brown cap in front of high voltage transformer about 2 inches---it will be marked with that C509 on board.

If it is cracked or burnt it is bad---these fail a lot.

If the set needs to be worked on it has a lightbox---about 8 bolts removed and entire guts or chassis comes out in one piece--can be powered up out of the cabinet.

Let me know if need more information.

I have a Panasonic 53" PT-53x54- 53" turns on for 5 seconds then

It is very common for the high voltage tranformer or flyback to wear out and not provide adequate power to the tv. You can test them with an ohmmeter to see how much powrer is being sent to the main circuit board. You can get parts at tigerdirect.com

RCA 52in. Projection TV D52W19B does anyone

Hello butmommy03,

This is the procedure but first I must warn you. You are dealing with one of the most dangerous parts of a TV The High Voltage anode or the CRT and the flyback transformer. That being said this is what you have to do:

1) unplug the TV from the wall or power strip.

2) take the back of the TV, and find the High voltage trippler and using a screwdriver grounded by a clip-lead to the grounding strip touch it to the exposed metal of the input to the High Voltage trippler.

3) using a soldering iron de-solder and remove the wire from the HV trippler.

4) Once this is done, angle the chassis to expose the bottom of the Deflection board, if this is no possible you will have to remove the deflection board to get a look at the bottom, once this is done and you can view the bottom of the board using a soldering iron and a de-soldering pump you can remove the solder from around the pins of the flyback transformer about 10 pins in all. Then remove the screws that hold the flyback in place. this is the procedure you requested,

However again I must ask you not to do this yourself and to get a qualified TV technician to troubleshoot this TV for you.

Thank you,

Cant disconnect two red cables inside my panasonic projection tv

I'm assuming you mean the high voltage lines.
All you have to do is reach in to the front block' and grasp the red line that goes to the flyback.
Do not attempt to remove the fly back side.
Just be careful not to bump the CRT's.
Slide the boot off and pull!

My PT-61LCX65 all of a sudden turned itself off and the Lamp indicator LED is blinking once every 5 sec. It will not power up. Can it be the lamp?

That is most probably the lamp. In some case the lamp is fine and the problem is the lamp high voltage board (ballast board).

The most coomon is always the lamp. The lamp cannot be tested . The ballast board must be tested by a technician.

The normal operation in this case is replaceing the lamp that cannot be tested. then, if you are within that 2% of the cases with ballast problem you replace the lamp power board or call a technician.

You can find parts here.

Hello dana1983165,

The problem you described is caused by poor voltage regulation in the High Voltage power supply. This can be caused by a defective fylback transformer, a defective focus block, a defective HV trippler, of the horizontal output transistor/damper diode assembly. I would first check the high voltage from the flyback to see if it was fluctuating, you can do this with a high voltage probe. The I would check the horzontal output transistor out of circuit with a transistor checker to see if it passes.

If you do not have equipment what you can do is remove the deflection/HV board and order a replacement from panasonic.
Look up Panasonic's web site and contact their technical support number and call them to find out the part number and have them order the part for you. If this fails try PTS at http://www.ptscorp.com

I hope this helps
