Question about Brother IntelliFAX 1270E Plain Paper Fax

1 Answer

Paper jam will not go away Whenever I try and send a fax it pulls to the right (when facing the machine), gets stuck and stops.  A problem sheet will then print saying "poor line connection."  Since I need this for sending faxes more than receiving this problem renders this fax machine useless to me.  Please help! Fax feeder is pulling sheets through at the same time

Sounds like the separation pads in the paper tray are worn out. You can contact Brother and purchase the parts from them. It should be less than $10. as long as the paper is being pulled from the tray it sounds like the rollers are okay.

Saying paper jammed ..but no paper is jammed????

The course of the problem could well be when you pulled the paper the wrong way out ot clear the jam. Open the machine and have a close look at the unerside of the flap. There should be a micro switch, which could well be desloged.

I have an Intellifax 2820 and there is an error message of paper jam inside... I have cleaned all paper out of machine... please help me

A jam sensor may be stuck by a paper scrap. Try manually pushing a sheet of paper through the machine IN THE DIRECTION IT IS NORMALLY FED. This may force out any stuck scraps. The jam sensors are usually located where the paper feeds and where it exits the machine. Also, make sure ALL ACCESS PANELS YOU OPENED TO CLEAR JAMS ARE CLOSED PROPERLY. Otherwise, the jam code will not clear.

Paper jam sending faxes

It is the document stop arm that is broken. You can remove it.The machine will work without it.
Just make sure you remove the document stop arm and not one of the other sensor flags in the document feeder.

Panasonic Fax Phone Can't send or Receive fax

there maybe a small paper jam in the machine that you are missing. if you are handy, unplug the fax machine and look around where the paper is fed into. if you see paper trapped anywhere, try pulling it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. the machine will not work right till the jam is cleared.
hope this helps.

if you put the document in right direction(face up or face down)-your scanner unit may be out of order or unpluged firmly into the main board socket check it and reinsert scanner unit plug again.

Erratic operation thru top copy/fax function

I don't really want to get into this, but you sound desparate. i don't work on your model very often, so bear with me. When a sheet jams, don't just pull it out. Open the document feeder as far as you can and note where it stopped (the side tha DID NOT feed). Look for a possible obstruction or even spot of something that looks dirty or sticky. If so, remove or clean it. Look at the leading edge of the jammed sheet, see if there are any indentations that could possibly line up with a sensor flag, roller edge, etc. Last suggestion. Press down of the side of the document feeder that DID NOT feed through. If this helps, then there is a problem with the latch that holds the document feeder closed. Without seeing the unit it is difficult to diagnose correctly. Let me know one way or the other. Any observations will be helpful. Ed One more thing! Make sure the leading edges of the pages you are sending are perfectly straight and smooth. Make sure that they HAVE NOT been stapled at one time (the indentation can cause a problem)
