Could be a problem with the LCD screen viewer or CCD sensor go to bad. This condition is the same when your pics are showed in the pc ? Are you check ISO settigns? If yes, and the problem continue, first... could be a problem with the LCD viewer screen, or, second choice could be a problem with the CCD sensor or go to bad; in both cases this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

I suggest check THIS LINK for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and next contact your Canon service.
I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

If your camera have some "anti-vibration" setup, check if this is activated, or its possible that this system is go to bad or need to be recalibrated.

Hope this helps

I tried to clean the dell vostro 1014 fan, after i assembled the fan and turned on the laptop it appear black screen with dim image on my laptop screen, When I plug in external monitor it shows boot s

It sounsd like your GPU may be BGA chip and would require a re-flow/re-ball if your laptop shows graphical distortion on both monitors.

However I would first try taking the laptop apart again and double check you have connected everything properly.

I have a Canon A720is (about 5 years old) that recently has started to show problems.

I think you immersed camera in water. This might have damaged corroded contact of LCD supply line and PCB.

My camera shows a line down the screen on the camera and on the photo whilst looking at in on a computer, maybe a pixel out? any ideas?

NOT a good sign - if there is a line on the LCD only then is wouldn't show on the PC.
As it shows on both Cam LCD and PC then it looks like a CMOS sensor fault and the sensor is the 'heart' of the camera.
A quick check would be to switch the viewfinder from LCD to viewfinder and use your eye to focus etc. Take a snap and display on the PC. If there is still a line missing then it can only be the sensor.
The Sensor is a very large grid of transistors which are light sensitive so a 12meg image uses all 12 meg transistor cells , which store light and then a micro Controller scans each cell collecting the data.
Sounds like you have a column address line missing - this is going to be a factory job or a very good Fuji repair shop. -- Ray

Screen does not display

I had the same problem. more than likely your connector cable between the camera and the display has become brittle over time and is beginning to break. as you open the screen the small wires inside the cable are separating. mine went from 30 deg view to 90 deg no display as yours is now, then 30 deg fuzzy display (cant make out the picture like a VHS when it needs heads cleaned) then the cable gave in and snapped. all the way through. Simply not a lasting camera. I got quotes and it was about $200 to fix. for that price these days u will pick up a better camera anyway. Good luck
