The converter box with go between your anttena and your tv using a coax cable, the cable should have come with the converter box.

The anttena should be plugged into the input on the converter box and the tv plugged into the output on the converter box.

Hook up analog vcr to hd tv

You must have a converter box for the tv and for the vcr. Set the vcr to receive chanel 3 and set the converter box to the digital chanel you want to record. Put a splitter on the antenae out and route one to the tv converter box and one to the vcr converter box. GOOD TO GO.

VCR HOOKUP PROBLEM

you will need to hook your signal to the converter box then into your vcr and then into your TV. Now if your vcr has signal out then you will not have any problems hooking your tv up to the vcr. You may have to use the audio out to get the right sound with your tv.

Analog VCR

no you can use your regular VCR. You will just have to make sure you put your coverter box to bring the signal into your vcr. You can also bring the signal into your TV from the vcr so that you don't have to have 2 converter boxes.

Hook up antenna to converter box then from that out to the vcr's input (red, white, yellow connections are better than coaxial).

Need to hook up dvd/vcr combo with converter box

Connect your rabbit ears to the Insignia. Connect the Insignia to the antenna input on the "cvd/vcr combo". Now turn on the television to show the "cvd/vcr combo".

The Insignia simply goes between your antenna and your television. In your case you also have a vcr so if you want the VCR to be able to play and record digital stations you will need the Insignia between the vcr and the antenna.

Wish to record on analog VCR and not affect digital TV reception

I don't think it will affect the digital TV reception, but if you try to use the VCR built-in tuner it is still analog and you won't be able to record digital channels that way. If your digital TV converter has video-out and audio-out connectors, then you can connect those to the corresponding connectors on your VCR to record.

Connect tv vcr and dvd player to digital converter box

Yes you can first connect the converter box to the antenna first. Next hook the tv out on converter box to vcr in on vcr. Next hook the vcr out to the tv in and watch vcr and converter box on channel 3 sometimes channel 4.on the actual tv and of course change channels with converter box remote. For dvd player hook it straight to tv with red, white, and yellow cables that come with your dvd player. Then to watch dvd player if it's hooked up that way you have to put your tv on a input like video 1 or input 1. This can be done by using the tv remote and looking for a button that says tv/video or input or source button. This is some common names for that button on tv remotes.

Philips CCB130AT02 TV/VCR combo

Is this an Analog TV? Does it have a picture tube and not an LCD or plasma screen? Most likely this is a Analog TV.

If it is an Analog TV (and I would bet that it is), then no, it does not have a digital (QAM) tuner to pick up DTV broadcasts. The fact that it has a VCR also indicates that its an Analog TV.

If you are picking up your TV signals from an outside antenna and not cable, then yes, you will need a converter box to convert the new digital signals to Analog so that you can continue to use your TV set.

If you are using cable to receive your channels, the cable company already provides the conversion for you and your TV will continue to work as before.

The government is giving out coupons to help consumers defray the costs of purchaing a converter box. The following sites are good places to obtain more information.
