First remove the battery and leave it for about 5mins,then you install the battery back on it, then you turn on the phone, if it does the same, then it means the start upfile of the phone is corrupt and will not start up the phone and will keep doing the restarting thing.
The solution there on, is for you to have the phone flashed. To flash the phone, you will be needing the best appropriate software for the phone on a pc and the usb cable toconnect the phone to the pc, then you format the phone and reinstall its operating system back on using the software.
That way the phone will be rebooted back to the factory settings.
Hope this was helpful to you.
Even if you keep resetting it that wont fix it, Sounds like it has a bad digitizer. You can find a digitizer on ebay for about 9.25(the cheapest) and if you are in the U.S you can send it to us to fix it at a reasonable prize.
oh this the major problem. the company srictly advises you dont remove the usb cable while updating the software.. otherwise the phone will corrupted. Next time dont remove Usb cable while Updating the software. the phone restarts automatically while updation. its a common factor......
First uninstall all the drivers and of the phone and the software, then remove the cable usb of the phone and restart the computer, insert the software CD and install the software's while installing at one point it will ask to insert the usb cable of the phone at that time insert only the cable without the phone, after installing restart the computer again, now you can connect the phone to the USB cable, when you connect the cable, the phone will automatically ditect and wait for sometime cos the computer will install some drivers to the phone. when this is finished try using
Disconnect the phone cable USB then open Nokia PC Suite (I presume you've got a Nokia N70) At the top of the PC Suite window go to Settings/Manage connections, tick the two bottom boxes, Serial Cable [CA 42] and USB cable, TWICE so as to highlight the Configure button.
Click OK, then follow the instructions to connect the cable to the USB then the other end to the phone.
It should now work if you're lucky, if not do a restart.
After restart connect the phone to the cable.
Give plenty of time for the icon on the PC to go green before clicking it to open PC Suite.
Try: Press* 3 sendat the same time and turn phone on. Keep them pressed until the reset screen appears.
Give it time to reset.
If this does'nt do it, it will need to go to a repair shop.
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.
It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you're up the creek without a paddle...
I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.
Before updating software you should check that there's a newer version of software available.
install the cd that came with the phone, once that is done and you have connect you phone via usb cable to the pc, switch on the phone then when the pc has located and recognised your phone go to the update column and the pc will search nokia site for a new upgrade.
You will need to flash the phone using a third party software. Before trying this hold down the '2' and '5' buttons at the same time and connect the USB cable while holding the buttons down. Keep holding them untill the computer registers the phone is there. This may force the phone to reset and start working again.
