Won't turn on, only vibrates and red flash under C

I am having the exact same problem where my phone will not turn on, and I only get a short vibrate with a red flash on the side of the C button. This is ridiculous. Where can I go to get it fixed and how much does replacing a motherboard normally cost???

My phone won't ring, only vibrate...help!

Without more specific information as to what model phone you have, I can only provide you with general instructions. Under 'settings' in your phone menu, you should see an option called 'profiles'. Highlight that and click on it, and you should be presented with several different profiles, such as outdoor, meeting, silent, etc. Once there, select one of them and click on it, then 'edit profile'. You'll have a host of different options now, and at least one of them should deal with "notification", where you can change it to 'vibrate and ring' or 'ring only'. Again, I'm not sure of the exact wording, but you'll need to change it to something besides 'vibrate' or 'silent'. When you're finished, click 'done' or some such, then 'apply profile' from the next screen. Make sure you apply the same profile name as the one you just finished editing. Hope this helps! :)

On vibrate want to turn vibrate off turn phone ringer back on.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
To turn the silent mode (******** only) just press and hold the # key for a second.
If this doesn't solve your issue, you may have selected some profile, to get it to normal. Click the menu button, enter your settings menu, under the general tab you will see profiles, enter that, and select the Normal profile.
Regards, Waqar.

My Nokia 5800 will not turn on. It only vibrates.

  1. With your 5800 turned off,
  2. Press and hold [Green] + [Red] + [Camera] Keys
  3. Turn phone ON, and keep pressing it until you see the Nokia Shaking Hands Logo.
The phone will be factory reset. If asked, default code is 12345. My phone did not ask- only the normal SIM PIN.

LIttle Red Phone with the vibrate squggle lines

I had the same prob. Do NOT RESET YOUR PHONE! I did. lost about 300 pics of my new born baby:( Any way today I was reading the manual, (maybe a year old now!) and it showed the * key as a short cut to vibrate. Just hold it down. So I did it showed the red shacky phone again! I freaked (didnt want to reset it again) but realized you just hold the * a second or two and it goes back to normal! too easy :)
